Title: Guest tracks 2017
Post by: dreadnaut on January 27, 2017, 09:27:32 PM
New thread for the guest tracks! (see 2016 (http://forum.stunts.hu/index.php?topic=3307.0))

Who's up for a track? Book your race below.

Traditionally there's a guest track every other month (those with a question mark below) but if you have additional tracks, Zak will probably be happy to pick them up :)

I'm booking the track for June, ZCT191, 'cause I like the number :)

Zak, are races going to be 4 weeks long after this one?

@edit: argh, moving to September!

Then I'll take 193, as I'd like a date during the Northern Summer.

I think 187 should go to AbuRaf. I sent Zak the track AbuRaf made. Of course, if this is approved by you guys. I would like to book 195.

Definitely. (By the way, another track penned by AbuRaf is FTT0204 from Feel the Thrill, Krys TOFF's NoRH competition. It is included in the Competition Archive.)

Oh, I didn't know he had that one :)  Well, any of the two could be the one :P

Oh I wrote to Zak and made an allusive track based in Rafaela's circuit three days ago. But if you consider more appropiated a track built by Anelio it's ok. The main objective is to do something for him.

I think we can just gather all we have and see where each thing fits. There's no need of leaving anything out. My site is also at your disposal for any extra race. It has a simple administration panel. Also, I think there's still space for guest tracks in ZakStunts and it'd be nice for your track to be a tribute to AbuRaf. I think, whatever I build in my track this year, I will also dedicate it to him.

187 is Alan's Aburaf tribute track
188 is Aburaf's track sent by CAS

Rest is fine, if we have more than 66% guest tracks, I'll be super happy.

I've updated the list in the first. Zak, what if I pencil you down for May and September, and then we try to fill the other months with guest tracks?

What about a track built by Marco? He retired as pipsqueak but he still can build a track ;) Gotcha!

I have one track done(i really liked, but i`m suspect to say...), and another almost done, can I submit they? would be a pleasure!

Good news: ZCT 189 is 99% percent done. Maybe just little adjusts.

Guys. This is the track called "Acacia Avenue", probably by Gutix, that participated in the track building contest during Paleke's WSC. It was one of the non-winners, together with AbuRaf's track that we're currently playing. Anelio didn't give his track a name, or maybe just AbuRaf70. I wish we still had the posts in the forums of those days.

Technically it is very easy to change the "fantasy name" of the track in the site. But should we do it? I see three possibilities:

Indeed. Some bits of wsc.ar.nu have survived in the Internet Archive, but the WSC forum circa 2008 has completely vanished.

Anyone else up for a guest track? We still have a few slots available, including May, July and November!

I had sent to zak two tracks of mines. Do you want to see they?

I don't think that's necessary. Competition tracks usually aren't published early -- we like to be surprised  :)

I've got my new track ready for ZCT195. I had tried about three times before to get the inspiration for a nice track and I think today I got it  :)
I still have over two weeks to send it, but I'll do it now, just in case. I think you guys will like it  ;D

Is it already decided who will author the November and December tracks?

Thanks, Cas!

Nov and Dec are open to my best knowledge!

Well, if nobody that hasn't posted a track this year wants to post one there, I have an extra track I'd like to put in one of those :-)

As many as you'd like!  I have one ready that I'd like to try. It's an oldie, but I think it'd be nice to have it in a tournament. And of course, I can also design a brand new one

There, I've gone and booked ZCT197. So Cas next month, November still open, I'll make a track for December, and maybe Zak can inagurate the new season with January :)

And later this autumn we'll start preparing for 2018 —Cas, February is yours if you want!

I finally had a drive on the "second track" and there are some good ideas in there, but there are a few really nasty bits, and I think it's too long for the competition.

A shorter version with a few of the same tricks would be fun though!

Do you think you can split it in time for the next race, or is it something for next year? :-)

Yes, for the next year, one or two races forward yes. I'm now really deep on compromises this end of year.. Music, college, job, etc..
