Duels:
Daniel3D vs KyLiE
afullo vs dreadnaut
Alan Rotoi vs Cas
Duplode vs CTG
I have prepared a draft of the track yesterday. There is a nonzero chance I will rip it apart and start over before the deadline, but so far I think it's turning out nicely.
Okay, here it is! The draft made it through, with only minor changes. The track name is "Silent Shout". Hope you'll enjoy it!
Fist try 1:15.95. Nice track! I can't say the same about the car. It's excellent in appearence but quiet hard to drive.
I love the McLaren, so I should have a decent time 8)
The track looks amazing to. I hope to drive it soon...

Based on the map, it seems to be a great track. I can't wait to try it.

The McLaren is a deceptively tricky car indeed. Expansive road circuits with long straights and fast corners are its natural habitat. Smaller area McLaren tracks are rather like Formula One street circuits, and there are many ways that can go wrong :D
Please let me modify the above opinion: this is a cleverly built EVIL track. ;D
Maybe I had too nice memories about McLaren. This car has a "nervous" steering.
1:15.35 anyway.
Hahahaha yes, this is a brilliant and evil track!
This Silent Shout (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uI1KXHJVO8)?
More like me wanting to scream in frustration but doesn't want to wake up the kids.... :-X
That track indeed looks evil! I'll give it a try when I finish today's work :)

Alan Rotoi | 1:15.95 | - | 1:19.80 | Cas |
Uh, Alan has a 1:09.85 just above my message!
To make my loss a bit less embarrassing... ;D ::)
1:07.20
All right, time to come clean with a 1:07.85 ::)
1:06.90, auto gears.
Tenth shaving at the final sector, down to 1:07.40. (Goal difference matters!)
Okay, that one was really surprising - the fastest lap was completed with auto gears.
Winner of the round: CTG ::)
Best losing pipsqueak: Duplode

Okay, that one was really surprising - the fastest lap was completed with auto gears.
I guess some of it has to do with the track (few of the jumps are useful for speed boosting), and some with the car (easy to mess up downshifts).
I loved this track. A shame I didn't have more time. (Not that I really could have improved my time mutch, but a few seconds should have been possible...
I tried many times to improve my lap, but this was the best I could do on this one. Looking at the table, I think these USL results will be very useful statistically for studies like what Duplode has been presenting. The cumulative normalised time differences look very representative. Only thing is that we're a limited set of pipsqueaks, but still.

Indeed: here we have seven freestyle RH races within a short time frame and with the same field of pipsqueaks. Charting the results against ZakStunts ratings model should be an interesting experiment; thanks for the suggestion!
(By the way, lately I have made quite a bit of progress on the theoretical side of the model, which provides tasty food for thought if nothing else. I plan to post a summary of what I've been thinking about anytime soon.)
That's going to be very interesting to see! I'll try to come up with ideas at R4K that can help provide useful information too
