The lineup is a Special one this time because ALL CARS HAVE POWER GEAR!!!
Not all PG is the same, but the new point system takes care of that.
This race is not about the overall fastest time, but points are given based on the fastest time per car.

Yay! Have you noticed that there are few cars with PG? 4 original cars and 3 customs.

There may be a problem with the automatic transmission of the Packard Eight. And it has returned to the pit for damage assessment.
It has been banned from the race for the moment.

If needed, it will be fixed, download packages will be updated and the fixed car files will be shared here.
Alan Rotoi will give further information a bit later today.

Ok I checked the car and it's ok so it's enabled again.

This is a very special car and it needs a deeper explanation in the wiki but I'll resume here. Packard Eight is a very old car so compared to the others is quiet slow. Nevertheless, it's customized and tuned to have a good ingame experience. It's a power gear car so it's maximum speed with 5th gear is 245mph but the "normal" tuned car are the 1-4 gears reaching 119mph at best. The 5th gear "starts" from 119mph until 245mph when PG is activated. It only could happen with speedups like ramps, bridges, corkscrew, loops, highways, etc. The activation of the PG is just like Acura NSX or Porsche March INDY using a loop to instant jump to 245mph. This is the normal performance of the car.

The confussion came for the 5th gear that is quiet slow accelerating, it starts very low and it's only viable with jumps and speedups. Automatic transmission, like all power gear cars, are quiet difficult to gain PG.

So I recommend to use manual transmission if you will drive a power gear car... but, can you reach PG in this track? I challenge you 8)

Fine track! It flows nicely with all four cars I have tried so far.

I voted for Porsche/March INDY as my favourite PG car, but if I have to choose a PG custom car I vote for Packard Eight. I love it ;D

Duplode has taken the lead with some strong laps. I had to reject one of his entries because he didn't go under the banner and therefore didn't cross the finish correctly.
Duplode took revanche shortly after posting that replay file with an even faster time.

As for the poll, I can't help but vote on the GTO :D My first impression of the Crown Victoria, though, was very good -- it feels like a really fun car!
