This kind of dual-way track doesn't have a lot to do with driving, but it's fun to have one like this every year. Apart from that I think you should do one-way tracks.

?There is no problem with dual way tracks.

You just have to divide the road at a later point than 2nd tile!

the explanation for using a dual way track is obvious:

Current track: Demonic Desert
Deadline: 2003-01-31-21-00

this track was the first track of 2003, when we didnt know yet how STUPID are dual way tracks. (except the ones i won)
Title: Argy's time
Post by: Krys TOFF on January 06, 2004, 11:38:16 PM
What do I see ?
Argy did 0:58,95 with auto gears ???

Tell us Argy : you made a mistake when entering the infos about your replay and used manual gears in truth.
Or else... mmm... There must be a SC or a trick CTG and I didn't find yet ! But where...?!

Sorry, I'm blind on zct34  I spent all day by watching to track but still cann't imagine how to reach time under 1:20  That dual-way bug is a real mystery to me :?

And one more time I'm asking: Zak, what was the main reason to create dual-way track again :?:

tip: check out the liveraces, you can find some useful info there sometimes :)

dual way reason: dunno. felt like this. I know it's buggy, but its still fun and needs some skills.
Past days just wasn't my best days. designed a bad track, wrecked my car a bit, and fell with my bike. +supid exams. this sucks, but who cares? :))

Don't imply that nobody cares, I do at least. And the track isn't so bad really. It's very interesting actually, more than ZCT23.

Thats the competition spirit, not the time hiding.

Title: public info about trick
Post by: Krys TOFF on January 09, 2004, 10:40:22 AM
Well, Argy's liverace replay isn't public anymore : the link is dead...
But CTG had the time to take it before that. :D
But it's not the only SC that can be found : we had another SC to make our 1:04,xx previous times, with a theorical 1:02 possible I think.
To those who can't find it : study Z23.

edit : with this post I reach the glorious level of Helen's lover :!:  :D

Congrats! ;)

Anyway, there were two solutions for Zak to make this situation fair: to hide their replays and to publish for EVERYBODY. Krys, Akoss, Diesel Joe and me saw Argammon's live replay. That's why there's only one way now: publish the shortcut on Zakstunts page, not only on the portal's live race section! Be fair with pipsqueaks - like Mingva - without team!

So, it means that the trick wasn't found by you? pfff, then I'm not such big looser  I guess it's the same trick we had on zct23 but I cann't do it without penalty time. And I still think dual-way bug is harmful for funny racing. It's even not a stunts. OK, now going to search for replays :)

P.S. Zak, do you think this kind of track (as times on it) will attract more new faces?

Prediction:

1. Argammon 52.70 (his own SC, Cork lets him win)
2. Bonzai Joe  53.40 (would be able to beat Arg, but Cork doesn't allow it to him  :P )
3. Akoss Poo   54.50 (fast... but not enough)
4. Mingva        54.70 (still strong without teammates - after watching Argammon's replay)
5. Zak McKracken 55.50 (Cork's Crew teamwork, wants to beat me :) )
6. Krys Toff   56.50 (better then me at the moment...)
7. CTG          57.15 (exams, I won't try Z34 once more...  :? )
8. Usrin         57.50 (good opening of his 2004 season)
9. satanziege 59.00 (Cork's Crew teamwork)
10. Alain  1:05.50 (or he will race SERIOUSLY, THEN 52.65...  :P )

Anyway will be official prediction game this year?

Comments about Ctg's comments:

1.First of all everyone in cork is allowed to win and there is no rule saying Bonzai J is not allowed to beat me or vice versa.Sorry this is bullshit.
Second of all ;) I think I and BJ found the shortcut at about the same time so it's not my shortcut. It's just that I decided with Zak to make it public to prevent a completly boring month!
Third of all =P I don't have to much time to race this month because of RLI so I will be happy to take 2-3 place w/o to much effort.

2.As I said under 1,this comment is stupid! But then again I think he will win this track because the car suits BJ better than me and because I don't have to much time :) but then again I don't know how much time he has so we will see.He seems to be motivated and deadly again though ;)

3.Somehow I doubt he will be able to drive 54.50 (no offense). I guess it will be 55+

4.Doubt it : 55+

5.If he finds motivation he could do podium,if not 55.50 will be unreachable for him!

6.Maybe barely? Depends if he races seriously or not.

7.Yeah yeah yeah 7th place with 57,15? I doubt it! should be better. Old understatement trick?

8.No idea about him.

9.Maybe

10.He could race as seriously as he wants and would not drive below 53 seconds.Unrealistic viewpoint again :)

JTK - I sent you a nice demo replay to "jtk@kalpen.de". It's from your own CTRACK24 and is 8 seconds faster than Mark Nailwood's winning time. Also, you should look at the replays from ZCT23 (another dual way track). If you want to see one from this particular track, check Argammon's live replay.

dont exhaust yourself, ctg, because you will see that the winner will have what you lack: fifteen seconds. If you tried hard one hour to do 55, think about what I saw on such a track in one second and drove in ten minutes :) then imagine what kind of time i and several others are hiding and keep that energy for z35 top ten, you cant find the way on z34.

I expected it : BJ improved...
But I'm happy, I raced and beat CTG and so he changed his mind and raced again to reach very good time. :D
Now, how many pipsqueaks will finish under 55 seconds ???

To be honest, that's not important.
The most important thing is that CTG and I are able to find shortcuts, tricks and those small movements that make replays faster.
Last year, I often simply use the SC or tricks my teammates found, and didn't find so many by myself. :?

Now, each time one of us find something, the other try to find another thing to be better.
CTG and I were rivals since I joined this community, but until now it wasn't a really fair fight because one of us may find a SC the other didn't know.
Now, we are teammates and we exchange our replays. Fair fight, harder fight. Motivation is back ! :D

My improvements from 1:04 to 55.55: 70% from Argammon, 20% own, 10% the team... But I knew the possibility of Argammon's trick before I saw it - I thought it's invalid, because XDude drove once in another direction on one of the ACT tracks and his rpl wasn't valid... After seeing Argammon's live replay I did it. He's rpl helped me only one thing: to know that it's VALID. In spite of this fact I wouldn't send that kind of replay without Argammon...

And you told not to race this month after your 57.15...  :P

Anyway, it was really a good fight in the last days. I hope I can reach your current time (54.00   )- still some milliseconds left...  :) The only problem is that my time for racing is not endless and 3 exams are still left...  :?
Title: ZCT34 - Demonic Desert
Post by: Arg on January 21, 2004, 01:09:47 PM
I never said I won't race after I send 57.15.

How many examples of propaganda do we need? Someone says something about person X.Y hears it but does not really pay attention and gives wrong information to Z.And Z believes X told a lie!

Do you understand that? In this community I have seen THAT problem DOZENS of times AND it is getting annoying!

Proof:

Argammon said: 'Third of all =P I don't have to much time to race this month because of RLI so I will be happy to take 2-3 place w/o to much effort. '

Interpretion: Argammon will race but does not think it's enough to win.He never said he stops racing ASAP. [That was at the time Arg had 57.15]

Now Mingva posts in the old prediction topic:"My top5 (i'll change to top10 if it will be necessary):

1. Bonzai Joe (he already have strong time)
2. Akoss Poo (I hope he still has power)
3. CTG (it would be great result for him)
4. Argammon (if he really won't race more)
5. zaqrack (are you ready, Zak? ) "

Wherever he got THAT from.

Now CTG reads MINGVAS comment and all he remembers is that ARG said he would not race anymore.

#1 Calm answer:

Let's recall what happened:

I said you posted a lie (not racing anymore) ->

You said I said I would not race anymore also and thus lied also ->

I am getting angry about how rumours spread and am bringing 100% proof that what you said is wrong. And as if that was not enough I also make clear how the rumour spread.->

You don't apologize 'oh sorry I got it wrong, next time I will pay better attention' or 'I thought you said that but obviously it was Mingva'
no instead you come up with some stupid racism which has nothing to do with the issue.

Noone knows exactly who the stunts oracle is, but one is tempted to connect AlanRotoi with it in some way or another. :)

Stunts Oracle:

- he has a very strong time
- he is Argentinian
- his team is Meganium Aces High
- his birthday 1980-11-05.

And because there's no Alan Rotoi in the drivers' list:

Stunts Oracle=Alan Rotoi. Welcome back! (change your name back please)

By the way now I'm ahead of the Stunts Oracle. :)

Story: Yes Stunts Oracle is racing for MeganiuM Team. I wanted to add the Power of the Gods in our team and I payed to him.

Reallity: It's me :) but I changed the name because I want to race only for fun and to help my teammates, you won't see strong times from me.

Akoss you will overtake me easy, I won't race too much.

Quote-he has a very strong time

Thanks, believe me when I say it was 30 mins of racing :D So I know you and some others will overtake me.  It's ok, these are my "just for kicks" races.

The Stunts Oracle is not a real driver.
It's the power of stunts God filling a pipsqueak.
Alan Rotoi was the Oracle some times ago, then Alain 'il Professore' was, then Tsino.
Now, Akoss Poo is the Oracle, and Alan Rotoi is using its name without reason !!!! :x Shame on him.

Let's all hail the glory of the real Oracle !
Akoss Poo ! (for now, except if the Power of the God leaves him. This CTG and this Argmmon guys seem to be new potential hosts of the Oracle power in these early days of 2004... )

Nononono Master Akoss Poo !
Don't say that.
Sine November, you proved with your IRC performance that YOU are the new Oracle.
You can't be ahead of yourself.

You don't understand poor weak pathetic mortals. The Oracle is an individual person and not a gift from the Gods. It is chosed one, I am the only one... I am the Stunts Oracle. Nobody else can be the Oracle. Akoss Poo isn't, nor Alain nor Alan Rotoi, nor Tsino, nor Koenovic...
