I couldn't open the replay with my version of Stunts though. Maybe it was made with a different version?

The permanent competition is alive and well on the Race for Kicks website!

Unfortunately we don't have the 2002-era replays   Replay archive before 2015 is spotty, after that we started storing all submissions.

This is not strictly reverse engineering, but a source port, and I want to highlight the project's philosophy document.

The goal is to be "a great old game" rather than "a mediocre modern game".

I find myself nodding to this, and I hope Stunts will one day go in the same direction. Run outside an emulator, offer new subtle features, all without losing its character and charm.

Indy for me, wish we had more non-powergear Indy races. The MP4 has a different feeling, but maybe the Williams will cover that role — we need a grand prix inspired competition!

The GAR side-scoreboard has been shrinking, and I feel the format deserves its own space, if any. Single car podium are also rarely mentioned these days. What could replace them?

I'll throw there an idea for a secondary scoreboard, where the track designer picks the car. Some small bonus points might count towards the main championship, e.g., if the car does not appear on the podium (or top-6). Probably need to find a way to balance things so that leading on both is not useful 🤔

While the game stays the same, the Competition is open to rule changes. This thread is here to collect and discuss suggestions, and also to decide which custom cars will be allowed for the coming season.

Hey @viniciusferrao, we're aware and waiting for the hosting company to gives us new credentials. It's a leftover of the server upgrade, together with forum attachment — hopefully we'll fix it soon!

The "Review copy" is something we haven't seen yet. It's likely to be the same as retail, it was just given out to specific people. Not spending $250 to find out though 😅
