Quote from: Spoonboy on January 04, 2026, 09:42:55 AMWere my 4 laps not received? I sent them all yesterday  :'(  :'(  :'(

As Victor says, they were received as quiet laps; it's just that I couldn't finish the verification in the evening. It's now done, though  :) Results confirmed and archived. Congratulations to @Victor Narl and @Alain il professore on the podium! The Sierra laps in particular are a very good watch.

The third and final track will be open later today, in a few hours hopefully -- watch this space for news!

Here are the overall event standings at the moment:

  • NRL: 4×22 + 3×23 = 157
  • ALA: 4×20 + 3×19 = 137
  • DUP: 4×9 + 3×16 = 84
  • SPO: 4×14 + 3×9 = 83
  • ROT: 4×7 + 3×13 = 67
  • CAS: 4×5 + 3×0 = 20
  • STC: 4×1 + 3×4 = 15

Yesterday, when I read this post I thought I was "ALA" but now I realize I'm "ROT" :-\  haha

I think it's a great idea. Every comment counts. I like to read about experienses and impressions about the race in general. The forum was the place for that but we don't post much about it lately. Just a couple of senteses is enough. Frustration, happyness, congratulations but also analysis on the track/car combo and the race would be very interesting to read.

Competition 2025 / Re: Track of the Year 2025
December 30, 2025, 03:34:50 AM
Congratulations @dreadnaut! Your track was among my favourite this year. I voted with 4 stars tree tracks:  ZCT291: The Fjords by dreadnaut, ZCT286: One of These Days by Erik Barros and ZCT293: Symmetry by Mortimer McMire.

Since the track rating system exists (2021) the results are:

2021
Average rating: 3.36 stars
Best track: ZCT244: Crazy Eight, designed by Daniel3D 4.3 stars

2022
Average rating: 3.59 stars
Best track: ZCT254: Island Run, designed by KyLiE 4.2 stars

2023
Average rating: 3.34 stars
Best track: ZCT260: Sheepshank Knot, designed by Cas 4.1 stars

2024
Average rating: 3,37 stars
Best track: ZCT281: Eternal Wait, designed by Akoss Poo 4.3 stars

2025
Average rating: 3,40 stars
Best track: ZCT291: The Fjords by dreadnaut 4.4 stars

So we could say ZCT291 is the best rated track of the last 60 tracks! 8)

P.S.: I wrote "59" tracks instead of 60 tracks hehe

I sent a couple of replays. I'll play some more later or tomorrow. BTW the reminder @Duplode made in zakstunts shoutbox, forum and telegram worked! I could race in the last track because of them!

Quote from: Spoonboy on December 29, 2025, 01:26:52 PMGreat video @alanrotoi!
Just curious, what was the track you used to demonstrate the Payback?

Thank you!! I needed a dense urban track for the video so I chose zct231 Kowloon. It's a dual-way track and took the longest way.

Quote from: Spoonboy on December 10, 2025, 11:03:26 PM@alanrotoi I have been driving the Payback and I'm loving it! It has stats that are all in fun ranges. Good acceleration, fast but not uncontrollable. And that dashboard! 🤩
What was your inspiration?
Looking forward to seeing this in R4K maybe.

Thank you for your kind words and support @KyLiE @Spoonboy and @Cas ! It would be an honor to see this car in R4K!

Here is the launch video of the car. It's a bit retro 80's ;D  8)

Quote from: Argammon on December 27, 2025, 08:10:29 PMAre we back in 2003 @alanrotoi? A time where chatlogs were posted and words were twisted by pipsqueaks trying to "win" a flamewar on the forum?

(20:13:33)Duplode Hehehe :D Watching Rotoi's version of The Trick -- wonderful stuff!
(20:14:15)(Arg) It is funny we discovered it independently. Or was the Corvette time a hint?
(20:14:39)Duplode And now Argammon goes and does it on the right side, for the sake of completeness :)
(20:14:45)MiDiaN Arg, yes and I had a better replay cooking but I didn't have enough time to finish it unfortunately.
(20:15:37)dreadnaut Let's see... Alan brought it up 18 November, initially with the Indy
(20:16:45)(Arg) Ok, that was before I sent in the Corvette replay.

If you read carefully, I wrote that you found the trick before I sent my Corvette replay. And I agree with @dreadnaut that it is not important who found it first. We aren't two small boys in a sandbox, or are we?

Where is the flamewar? Please don't change the topic playing the victim because it won't work. Maybe I'm not good at English but the message was quiet clear. You say "it's unclear" and I show you it's not. You could say when you find it and it's all done but you don't. Does it offend you that I'm showing a public chat? Don't make it as it were a big deal but also don't try to change what happened.

Quote from: Cas on December 27, 2025, 03:27:03 AMOMG!  That deserves a Wiki article!

I used it first in competition in my Corvette replay. It is unclear who found it first.

In any case, it is amazing that we discovered the trick independently of one another. When I found it, I was pretty sure I could cost to victory without too much effort. Fortunately, I at least did a nice pipe trick that went under the radar.  :)

It's not unclear who found it first. As a reminder, here is an extract of the chatroom at the end of the race where you participated and dreadnaut told you what happened:

Anyway, you also find it independently so well done! ;)  ;)  ;)
