The statistics will also pick up some of the early years, although the number of submitted replay will remain artificially low — we don't have full records

Quote from: Argammon on May 05, 2025, 07:19:46 PMI hope it's clear that I never intended to offend.

I didn't take it seriously, I know what you meant! The "if he bothers. But when was the last time he did?" language was strong though, so I decided to point that out jokingly — see "light offence" and ";D". But even that wasn't clear enough 😅

Quote from: Argammon on May 05, 2025, 07:19:46 PMAs you know, not everyone here is a native speaker, and sometimes phrasing can come across differently than intended.

Agreed, and written communication, without face expressions and tone of voice, is extra difficult!

Quote from: Argammon on April 26, 2025, 05:34:31 PMDark Horse: Dreadnaut. Is good with power-gear cars and I can see him on place 6-7 if he bothers. But when was the last time he did?

Ouch, I take light offence at the language ;D  I actually had to stop myself from going "oh, just an easy GTO lap, let's see where I can reach powergear" because it would have spent hours optimising it and searching for the right carpet for a slightly faster trajectory. You know how it goes! And I have to chose whether the hours I have for ZakStunts go into racing, or other sides of the competition and the website 🥹

For the record, the last time I "bothered" was ZCT277 ;D

I've heard the story, but I don't know the track number! ;D

Does your bike reach powergear on those jumps?

Let's rename this thread and collect interesting articles! While the series about F15 from the opening post continues, today I spotted this article about Winter Games and its interesting copy protection:

Recent season scoreboard have gained tiny medals, showing podium results! (pre-2022 pages coming soon) The same medals also appear on the profile page 🥇🥈🥉

(as usual, you might need to hard-refresh the page to see the changes, e.g., Ctrl-F5)

Behind the scenes, we've moved all results and replays to a new database table. That sounds dry, but it cleans up a bunch of sharp edges, and will make things easier in the future.

Two minor changes are immediately visible:
- ties appear correctly on both track and season scoreboards
- teams on the track scoreboards are now links!

The scoreboards for 2001-2003 are currently empty. I'm waiting for the end of ZCT285 before I copy the old data to the new table. Once that is done, 2001-2003 submission will be included in the statistics!

Today, the ZakStunts rules include these two points:

Quote- You can join any team if allowed, but if you joined one, you can't leave it through the year, only with losing all your team points.
- When you join a team, and you didn't have one before all your previous results count as the team's too.
Emphasis mine

I suspect that these rules exist because ZakStunts track team membership at a season level. In part from our previous discussion about non-scoring team members, and prompted by myself and MiDiaN swapping places, I'm wondering if we should switch to tracking team membership per-race, and amend the rules above so that points scored for a team stay with team, or remain unassigned

I would update the team section in the rules as such:

We encourage you join or start a team. It greatly improves your racing skills, and your motivation to race.

- A team consists of minimum 2, maximum 4 pipsqueaks.
- You can join any existing team, as long as its members agree.
- You can also form a new team: you need at least two members, a team name, and a logo. Let us know in the forum's Team Zone.
- Points scored while part of a team will count for the team championship, and remain to the team if you leave mid-season.
- Team members may share their knowledge or replays, but it's forbidden to race in the name of another teammate, or to use a part of your mate's replay for continuing.
- Team members can request a private "team section" on the forum.
- You can request to leave a team at any time.

Announcing two roster changes for DoublePlusSpeed!

Since my focus for 2025 is maintenance (of the website, my new house, and the Indy's gearbox), I am stepping back from the scoring group of DoublePlusTeam.

I am also excited to announce @MiDiaN has accepted to join the team, welcome 🎉 Looking forward to what the team will achieve!
