Permanent Competition / Re: Default
June 08, 2026, 12:27:52 PM
Permanent racing on the original tracks has moved under Race For Kicks, with a more attentive stewardship 😅

What about leaving these old threads lie, and start anew in the Race for Kicks section?

Seems like your past few months were quite busy, @Cas. Take your time, life has priority and don't let anyone put undue pressure on you!

Not even I believed that 😅

Maybe for a future version of Bliss, a feature request: consistent keyboard-driven tile selection, so that I can press a fixed sequence of keys to select a specific tile.

For example:
- hit space to start "find tile mode"
- the 12 tiles palettes appear on screen, with a letter nearby (home row keys would be great)
- press the corresponding key to select a palette
- the chosen palette appear front and center (scaled 2× ?), with each tile assigned a single letter hint (again, start with home row keys)

Pros over the current system:
- find tile mode acts as a map, so I can learn the right keys without trial and error or memorising the documentation
- the same 3-key combination always give the same tile (today, it depends on the currently selected tile), building muscle memory (e.g., space-j-j is a starting tile pointing north)
- less clicking!

Stunts Chat / Re: Problem with Bliss

Stunts doesn't let you drive the same tiles of road in both directions, so you track is probably invalid. See if you can draw the main path first, test that, and add decorative roads later

Competition 2026 / Re: ZCT298: A Bridge Too Far

Mrdries came up with a lot of interesting combinations in that thread, but I think your loop to bridge, bridge to pipe, and bridge to loop combinations are new — and enjoyably frustrating ;D

Also interesting, his Catalogue of Composite Track Elements.

As long as we have a SuperKart with Monster Truck wheels, it sounds great!

I think the amount RH required for the 'trials' part might put off many. @mrdries would love this though!

Barely any time to read stuff on the internet, but this thread made my day. Thank you @HerrNove

Hey folks! Our little boy was born last week, and all is well. Life is of course much busier these weeks, but I'll be around now and then!

Was there a specific "turning point", when his politics changed, or was it a slow process?

These tracks look brilliant, sad I missed this! But nice to read the thread, and see you had a great time!

How are you feeling about Magyar? You seemed unconvinced a couple of year ago

Thank you all! 🙏

Quote from: alanrotoi on April 01, 2026, 02:31:38 AMCongratulations @dreadnaut!! Let me know what I can do. Happy to help.

One of the simple duties would be pressing the "race is done" button to release the quiet replays, update any XP or PTB points, etc. Worth coordinating with Duplode?
