@CTG and Paleke: Sorry, it seems I was a bit confusing there... the (complete) tags indicate I got to retrieve everything... thanks anyway (and to BJ in advance as well) ;)

@Argammon - I knew it was a very classic trick (in fact I first heard of it through BJ's article at ZakStunts), and only referred to my wish of pulling it off myself. Anyway, gonna watch your Z10 lap later  ;)

I wonder if BJ can show he's the best or he'll let any of you to win. ;D

Oh yes, you reminded me: my tip is BJ by quite some margin... ;)

Very IMSA-ish and quite Mark-ish track, with the 962...I like it.  :)

Yep, I wanted for quite some time to find an opportunity to use the "fence/water bug" in an actual race :) And still speaking of that sector, I really enjoy to watch you handling the sharper corners one gear above everyone else... 8)

Here is the list of what is currently missing (that is, what I couldn't retrieve from the sites):

ZakStunts: Winning replays from ZCT69 (Renato Biker) and ZCT78 (CTG). The lap from ZCT35 (Argammon) seems to be an undocument omission from the old archive.
UnskilledStunts: Winning replay from Krakow (Usrin). A track map with indications for Goi?nia would be nice to have as well.
USL: (complete)
Kalpen: All winning replays but CTRACK2007A - all tracks are available, though.
WRC: Winning replays from last two rallies.
FSC '06: Both winning replays by Bonzai Joe.
SDR-RH: Complete.
SDR-NoRH: Winning replay for Timer (Chulk).
ISM: (complete)
WSC: (complete)
Stunts Brasil: Missng the last track, Beverly Hills, before competition got aborted - the site still exists but the link seems broken.

By the way, a somewhat less "cute"  :) but anyway possibly useful alternative to water would be placing SDR-style checkpoints on track, possibly delimiting no-PG sections, or even IRC sections...

On the other hand, FIA might as well find anoter use for all the excess downforce - that would make racing much more interesting to all of us folks... Check: http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns19948.html  :D

(Edit: Link edited, d'oh @ me and thanks Krys...)

So the problem was with the domain... that reminded me of another strange bug - back when the news were posted on the main page, sometimes it happened that updates took longer to appear at wsc.ar.nu than at wstuntsc.iespana.es . And reagrdless of anyhing, my DNS still blocks WSC addresses and thus I still have to use the cgi-proxies - BTW, my "old" proxy links (based on wsc.ar.nu/foro) to the forum are currently functional (from about three days ago on, that is). Anyway, the important thing is the forum is workig again - although it might be useful to keep this topic ative as well...

(And about the Kanjis Krys has metioned: I see them too (or at least <?> marks due to wrong encoding settings), but with those proxies there are so many imperfections on browsing that I betetr ignore that as well... :-\)

Stunts Forum & Portal / Competition Archive updates
January 08, 2008, 04:19:55 PM
I dont' know whether anyone was already working on something similar, but over the last weeks I have been completing and organizing the archive of tracks and winning replays on my Stunts folder with the races from Aug '05 on. Aside from a few significant omissions, which I'll confirm later on, I could find nearly everything on the net. Thus, if Zak or somebody else is interested - e.g. for the projects being discussing lately - just ask... ;)

Edit - topic title modified in 2012/01/19; original was Competition Archive II: The Later Years
Edit 2 - topic title modified in 2021/02/19; original was Replay hunting & Competition Archive updates. Also merged the Competition Archive 2019 topic into this one.

It depends on conception: I rather think that it wanted to be a 6 speed gearbox car, and it was the easiest solution to perform it in a very old program. So I think it's more correct to say: you don't have to change gear between 1st and 2nd gear (the little figure of the gear lever also shows that there are 6 gears, unlike in the other cars).

Well, the true 288 GTO had a 5-speed transmission. If you look at the Ferrari shifting knob on the dashboard, you'll see one of the positions stands for reverse. Moreover, it is possible to have a 6-speed car in Stunts - in fact, I even did one... :)

I actually managed to keep PG there... The problem was that my way was slower than losing PG and got me 18 seconds penalty time :)

Let's say it is "almost" possible... :)
