Incredible times by Peugeot with the 908 car ! As fast as good old times when there was 2 less chicanes to slow down the cars !!!

Last year, Audi was on pole position with 3'26", now the best Audi did 3'24" while Peugeot did twice 3'18" and last Peugeot did "only" 3'20" ! And weather conditions were not at the best.

Except if they have mechanical issues during the race, it seems the come-back of Peugeot in endurance serie is a kick-ass winning idea.

3rd race will be raced with Porsche Carrera 4.
Track design and scenery are quite differen from previous race, I always have problems to design track for Carrera.
I hope you'll like it, track is not so difficult but is longer than previous races, and each corner can make you loose a lot of time. Perfect replay will be hard to achieve in noRH, but who knows what Duplode (twice winner of first 2 races) is capable of ?
Of course, Chulk, Mark or any other pipsqueak are allowed to be faster than Duplode.

Nobody mentionned the 1st victory of a woman at IRL (indycar), so I do. Well done Danica.



honda team would like her to do a test for F1. A nice way for Honda to get talked about, unlike their results.

2nd race will be with a fast car, I plan to alternate fast and slow cars in the competition.
And we will have our 1st guest track designer for this track : Mark L. Rivers.

Well, according to the presence of pipsqueaks that are not very familiar with english language (some JACStunts pipsqueaks, Ayrton, AbuRaf, and some Hungarian pipsqueaks that joined only USC), I wonder if it's needed to do other languages for the website.
If some of you are interested to translate pages (mainly rules page) then talk it here.

As all website is php and with the same database, it's not a problem to have more than 1 language. Just main page will be multi-ligual then current website is in a sub-directory so I can create other sub-directories (one for each language), all linked to the same database. A Babel tower website, one scoreboard. I like the concept.

I'll also need translators' help for what will be regular news (new track available, winner of previous track is, and sentences like that) translation. Or maybe grant access to language moderators for the news. Dunno yet.

Of course, I can take care of the French translation myself. Languages needed are Spanish, Portuguese and Hungarian I think.

Promising game. I'm such a fan of Race driver games serie, I'll have to get this one, one way or another !!!
But I fear that for my PC it will mean a new graphic card...
Or I'll have to get a X-Box 360 or a PS3 (even worse for my money ).

I don't know if you ever heard of this, but I discovered it today.
Name is BATRacer.

Goal is (once logged in) to play as a driver in one championship : F1 2007, F1 1986, A1GP, ChampCar, BTCC, ...
You set up your car, choose race strategy, then game engine do the race. This a sort of F1 (or other categories) manager.

I registered today and joined a BTCC championship in production category. You can still join it as there's not the full number of players at the moment I write this message.
You don't have to stay online, game starts automatically when number of pipsqueaks is complete.
Usually, once started it seems 1 championship lasts 1 race per day.
If you don't log in for 3 consecutive days, you can be fired of the championship though. Join a game when you're sure to ba able to spent around 15 minutes per day to it (car setup, tests, qualifications, ...).

As you may have seen, a guy named Dstien (and not DStein for Doctor Stein as I though first ) has implemented infos in the wiki regarding this version, which I never heard of before.

So, I looked for it on the web and found this video of the intro, very similar to FM Towns version except for the colors, as told by DStein in the wiki.

I'd like to have it and test it too, although I don't know if it's possible to play it natively under current PCs, with DOSBox or with any other emulator.

I don't know if you guys ever heard about this website, but it's a good one giving away (that is, giving freely) one program a day.
I got some useful tool this way. Problem is that you can't keep these programs if you format your hard drive.

Each day (even on sunday) a new program and a new game. If most of them are useless, some are really interesting sometimes.
For example, today's game is Space Interceptor, a nice 3D shooting game. It makes me want to re-install good old Wing Commander serie.

IRL (Indycar Racing League) and CCWS (ChampCar World Series) will merge into 1 single championship.

Some history :
CART (Championship Auto Racing Teams) was the single-seater championship for ages when, in 1996, IRL was created as an alternative mainly based on oval speedways to get closer to Nascar style. CART was mainly based on "standard" race tracks.
Since then, 2 series existed, dividing the interest of fans and also the investors interests.
In 2004, CART went bankrupt and was re-born as CCWS, still mainly focused on standard race tracks.

Now, the 2 championships will merge and it seems tracks of both series will be raced, so now the new championship (named IRL) should be half on oval tracks, and half on race tracks.
Same car will be used for this new big championship : the Dallara-Honda car used in IRL.

Hey, I just realize that there''s no rally-raid topic. And nobody talked about Dakar's cancellation this year due to terrorism risk.

Anyway, persistent rumors say that "Dakar" (name will be kept, even if finish is not in Dakar) will be in south America next year, in Argentina mainly, and also a little in Chile.
Argentina's people likes rally, they will love rally-raid in the pampa.
Confirmation expected in the next weeks.

Does any of you possess this version of MindScape 4D Sports Driving ? I have only the 1.1 version dated of 1990, and I want to check the differences between them, especially for the wiki.

JTK : is it in Luke's data you backup-ed on your site ? He talks about this version but I can't find any link to get it.

I just managed to get the only FM Towns emulator existing and the "4D Driving 1.0" version (CD iso MDF/MDS format mount with Daemon Tool) made in 1993 for FM Towns computers.
I'll publish here the results of the tests, and then I'll complete the Stunts wiki entry. As Zak has a real amiga and the Amiga version, I'll let him explain the Amiga version, it will be more representative that a test under an emulator.
