Krys TOFF and AbuRaf70 on Track C for POWERING and the inoxidable argentinian leads for about 4 seconds on the french!

First driver for SWIFTING, AbuRaf70 with an assay attempt that can sure be improved a lot, but the news of today is the new provisional record established for POWERING: I wanted to know if someone was right telling me if curves were almost impossible on Track C at 245 Mph, and now I know that the track is absolutely suitable for a great Powergear kermesse... ;)

Improvements for POWERING by Krys TOFF and AbuRaf70, with the argentinian very near to the first provisional place!  :)  Meanwhile, it seems that SWIFTING is going to be a more tactical race: only a new outset (me) who catch the "very virtual" gold medal. But maybe drivers will wait the moves of their opponents or maybe someone is taking confidence with a car never used before... Sure not Duplode (great win in "Emotions" SDR NORH R8/2007) and Chulk (great win in "Gate" SDR RH R8/2007)... ;)

Two powergear specialists at work: I and the great Ayrton catch the provisional taller steps in POWERING! Impressive the argentinian, over the minute!  :o  4th gold medal already win...? Let's see!  :)

SWIFTING registers two improvements by the drivers who have already made a trial: very little upgrade for me and a more concrete step on for AbuRaf70. Still silence by other drivers... What's happen to the Olympic spirit...? ;)

It happened that I raced WSC instead as deadline is closer. :P

Incredible Power-demonstration from Ayrton: he stopped (voluntary  :o) his replay while chronometer marked over 2 minutes and 15 seconds of powergear...  :o Who can stop him? Even thinking that could be the possibility to reach a higher time, it has to keep in count if a driver wants, at this point, making an endurance race...!  ;)
OK, I won't be at home until Sunday evenings, so no other update until the finish! Who will catch the last two podiums! Let's see!  :)

Just arrived from a short weekend...  :)
Mhmm... seven replay received... How will it be the classification? Three hours to the deadline, so very soon we will have the answer!  ;)

Krys TOFF

Why my time for swifting is not on the website ? I sent the replay 2 days ago.
I give up for powering, Ayrton is incredible and I can't find the best way to turn on the island without crashing anyway...

The Games are closed and we have the two last podiums!  :)

SWIFTING: 1) Mark L. Rivers, 2) Duplode, 3) Spartan
POWERING: 1) Ayrton and Mark L. Rivers, 3) AbuRaf70

Even if the number of drivers has decreased in this last week, we had incredible replays above all in POWERING, which has seen an ex-aequo for Ayrton (4th gold medal, absolute winner of the games!  8)) and me! Both stopped voluntarly our replays while we could prosecute them (over 2 minutes for Ayrton and over 3 minutes for me)!  :o  Very interesting the different styles of the two Powergear specialists: while Ayrton controlled his car between slides and short curves, I found a "ring" between the obstacles, driving on it "lap" after "lap" without making one slide! Please watched both replays to see fantastic ways to drive at 245 Mph!  :)  But POWERING lead us to greet a new medalist: AbuRaf70, who catches the bronze medal with a really nice half minute of great Powergear!  :)  :)  And now, let's talk about SWIFTING. I hoped more drivers took part at this short game, but it has not been so. Anyway, good replays have made intersting this race too. I got my 3rd gold medal realizing the absolute best time, but I had to push really hard his car to beat a great Duplode (2nd silver medal for him) and the surprising Spartan! The driver came from Greece got a strong time using Autogear conquering so his 2nd bronze medal.

What can we say in conclusion? I hope that The Stunts Olympic Games 2008 will be remembered as a joyful event for all drivers who really love this wonderful game! Thanks to all the driver who took part in it and... see you on other scoreboards!  :)

DAMN IT!!! I forgot to send in my replays (35.75 for swifting, crappy 15.50 for powering)... :-\

Duplode

Then it only shows I was actually fortunate to escape with a second silver medal on Swifting on a semi-strong performance... :) Very nice event this event was, with quite a few fun breaks from usual RH logics: after pioneering a way to formalize NoRH racing, Mark went a good way towards doing so with trick contests  ;) Now allow me to put up two suggestions for future modalities:

  • "Drifiting", which would be Swifting but with a more claustrophobic track and more, ahem, "colorful" handling issues to deal, maybe with GTO or GT3... :D
  • If we had Jumping and Flying, maybe Triple Jump could be adapted from athletics as well: goal is to chain as many jumps/bumps as possible without touching the ground, hills, hill slopes or regular roads.

Thanks for your comments, Duplode, and thanks for your suggestions! I will consider them with attention. Anyway, looking the decreasing participation during the event, and the poorness of comments (number of comments, I mean) after the end, I will consider with attention if organizing or not another similar event...

Ayrton

Congratulations Mark for the Co-Championship !!
Very good tournament  ;)
