Present state of my coin collection:

I'm keeping three coins (Argentinian 1 peso, Omani 50 baisa and 25 baisa) for your collection.

Oh! A peso? Thanks! Can't wait to feel it in my hands!

Sometimes I also forget about the baisas.

(Then 42 currencies of countries instead of 40.)

Omain, Argentinian and Saudi Arabian coins have arrived to my collection. Half a Cypriot pound was also added to it. I also have some new coins from Jordan and Israel.

In the meantime, I've noticed that I have Slovenian and Russian coins in my collection, too. I've identified my oldest coin (from 1800), it is a 1 Austrian kreuzer coin.

Six years later, I move the south record of a few degrees. Still no southern hemisphere though :(

  • North: Knivskjellodden, Norway: 71° 11' North
  • East: Narita Airport, Japan - 140° 23' East
  • South: Nara, Japan - 34° 41' North Aeropuerto de Tenerife Sur - 28° 2' North
  • West: Keflavik Airport, Iceland - 22° 37' West

Cas

Oh... I'll provide my own cardinal records  ;D

* North - Maracaibo, Venezuela: 10°38′N 71°38′W
* East - Taupo, New Zealand: 38.6875°S 176.0694°E
* South - Punta Tombo, Argentina: 44°02′28″S 65°12′36″W
* West - Guayaquil, Ecuador: 02°11′24″S 79°53′15″W

The East and West extremes assume that 180 degreest standard latitude is where East and West end and meet, which is arbitrary, but pretty official. They also take into account only extremes I experienced landed. Otherwise, my East and West extremes are both 180 degrees (flying over the Pacific).

OK, I don't travel a lot, but I have been places...

East: Beijing, China: 39°90N, 116°36W
South: Bogotá, Colombia: 4°70N, -74°12W
West: Houston, Texas, USA: 29°76N, -95°35W

Well, I have already broken my old North mark, since I'm now in Paris... and will soon break it again when I visit the Netherlands and Germany. By the way, I'd like to find a place where I can watch the Northern night sky. It's often cloudy over here and the city lights don't let me see much of the stars.

Hacer un dibujo en mi propia mano
librar la consiencia de toda moral
Tirar una vaca del decimo piso
y si hay luna llena irse a caminar

Una ostra chilena, un beso en Paris
cortarse el pelo y cambiar la nariz
Si Charly escribiese la constitucion
si nunca quisiera a quien nunca me quiso

Ser dos y ser diez, todavia soy yo
si la venganza borrase el dolor
Ser seco, recto, ausente, amoral
si no me acordase del terror que te di

Todo eso me haria feliz
tonterias me harian feliz
Pero nada me hara tan feliz como dos margaritas

Make a drawing on my own hand
free the conscience of all morality
Throw a cow from the tenth floor
and if there is a full moon, go for a walk

A Chilean oyster, a kiss in Paris
cut hair and change nose
If Charly wrote the constitution
if I never loved someone who never loved me

Be two and be ten, it's still me
if revenge erased the pain
Being dry, straight, absent, amoral
If I didn't remember the terror that I gave you

all that would make me happy
nonsense would make me happy
But nothing will make me as happy as two daisies
Nice, but difficult to follow.. 8)

Keeping aside family pipsqueaks (Manowar, Eddie Brother, La Popis) I met Paleke, Goyo, Gutix and Lukas. I thought the list was larger.

Yes please:..

Let's organize one properly this time.
Amsterdam is a easy to reach location through Schiphol.
Is Berlin also good to reach? Or other cities?
Someday during the summer probably, or is an out of high season Saturday a better choice to save money?

Maybe we should make a topic with a poll for it..

Just thinking out loud..

A separate topic is a good idea. Let's find out who is interested. :-)
