This night we had an unofficial "Stunts meeting" (without Stunts, but with a serious amount of alcohol) with Akoss Poo, and he tasted two "new" beers. His ratings are:
S?rk?ny Beer - 4.5/10
Soproni - 6/10

B?FF!!! :D

Yes, these were the rates - hmm, Soproni was surprisingly good, and I really was thinking about giving 6.5! :D

Well, after I saw the other beers which received a 6 from me, I must say let's give 6.5 to Soproni! ;)

And maybe I forgot to tell it here, but I tasted Kozel, and my rating is 6 on it. B?FF!

Have you ever seen a beer cheaper than 50 HUF? I've discovered today that Platina ?szok (containing 4,5 V/V% of alcohol) is sold for 49 HUF in Auchan! Well, I'm a bit worried about it, because it is brewed by Ilzer Beer Factory (maker of Innstadt Beer)... but I'll taste it in the evening!

Khm... I've just noticed on the bottle that it was best before 10. 11. 2005! I think that's why they've reduced its price (earlier it was 85 HUF)... But who cares? (I think it haven't became worse, there is a lot of reserve in these time intervals...)

Ugh! That was hardly better than Innstadt Beer, I felt the same horrible tinge, although not so strongly... It doesn't deserve more than 2,5/10 (I modified the result of Innstadt to 2/10, because it was a bit worse). But at least it was the cheapest beer of my life! And at least, I will taste Bjoerne Bryg and Harboe Pilsner in 2 months. :P

Where?

By the way, do you know about the big beer house at V?ci Street? Of course I won't ever buy anything there because it's horribly expensive, but it's fair enough for window shopping and checking the brands from different countries.

Quote from: "CTG"Where?
In Copenhagen - if you want, I'll bring some bottles for you and you can also taste them. :)

Quote from: "CTG"By the way, do you know about the big beer house at V?ci Street?
As I remember, I haven't been at V?ci Street for a year, I always try to avoid such bourgeois parts of the city... I know only "The House of Hungarian P?linka" on R?k?czi Road, near Astoria. However, I'm afraid it's also very expensive...

Stella Artois has been pushed off the podium by Akoss Poo. New TOP 3 is the following:
1. Carlsberg 9,00 (just because Akoss haven't tasted it yet?)
2. Dreher Classic 8,50
3. Zlat? Ba?ant 8,38

No thanks. Maybe once, live at a Stunts Meeting. :)

I also know the p?linka house, i saw the advertisment this last spring somewhere near Rig? Street.

About new beers: Slovakian trip will come in exam's season, before that I'll try to find new brands in Lidl and Cora.

Oops! Why and when will you go to Copenhagen?

Okay, I will buy a Carlsberg for myself in the weekend, just to have a real top3.

USRIN!!! You still forgot to add my rating on Kozel: it is a 6. B?FF!

Sorry for forgotting your rating on Kozel... Now it's added, but don't forget that you and CTG didn't taste the best (12%) version of it, for which I gave 9,5/10, but a weaker one. (I hope CTG will buy a bottle of the best Kozel in Slovakia!)

Quote from: "Akoss Poo"Oops! Why and when will you go to Copenhagen?
To be exact, I will go to Koda?, but I was afraid that some people couldn't understand it in this way. :D Why will I go there? To taste Danish beers and add my ratings to the scoreboard! Well, more seriously: because in a sale I could buy a round-trip plane ticket to Malm? (linked with Copenhagen by a bridge) for 10000 HUF, including every taxes and other costs. (Well, I know that it will be quite expensive to stay there...) And when will I be there? Between 4-8 February 2006. But I think I will also visit Slovakia before that, at least for an afternoon, because there are many Slovak beers I haven't tasted yet!

(Akoss Poo: if you're curious, I'll write you more details in e-mail.)

Thanks for adding my rank on Kozel to the ranklist!

Yes, I'm curious. As always. So, you offered that, please write more details about your Danish trip.

I would also like to taste Slovak beers (and Becherovka, too). I guess I need to go to Slovakia soon. I will try to persuade my parents to do this - maybe for a good hiking in the mountains of Slovakia. What do you think, where can I find a cheap supermarket with a big range of Slovak beers the nearest to Kazincbarcika?
