the beer market in brasil should be great, because I would put about 5 or 6 brands above those.

seriously, we have a lot of great beers. (without the premium kind/line). :-D

vamologocomisso: if that was the situation for everyone, not these would be the most well-known and most widespread beers in the world. If there was a very good Brazilian beer, I'm sure that would be well known in Europe, too.

Akoss, soon Brahma will arrive...

europeans and brazillians taste for beer is very different, because in europe you guys like red and green kind of beer (i forget the name of the ingredients, maybe ale or ginger, i dont know). beers like stella artois for example, is not apriciatted here.

Here, only the true yellow, light yellow beer make success. (barley, germen of wheat, lupulo, and mineral water).
The fermentation is very different too.

and we have to remember other details like, here almost the entire year is hot, so the beer must be a little more light and refresh.
I, myself can drink any beer, if its very cold almost frozen.

bock type beers even in the winter its not very tastefull(in my city, the coldest days of the winter its like 16?C).

why dont you trade?

Vamolo sends Akoss a bottle of some of the best Brazilian beer, and Akoss sends a small bottle P?linka. if you pack it very well and the box is shock-free there should be no problem :)

Hoegaarden witbier (BEL, 4.9%, Rothschild supermarket, Mad?ch Square) - very characteristic wheat beer taste, no problem with the strength. I suggest this type for specialists - although it's quite expensive. I put it on the same level with Oberdorfer Weissbier in spite of the fact they are very different. Mark: 9.5/10

I love strong and/or characteristic beers like dark and white types (they can be excellent, both has some beauties in taste).

I've been having a bottle of this beer on my table for a month. :) I got it as a present from my roommate, but I'm afraid I would have to spill it into the washbasin after tasting it... Well, I'm definitely NOT a "specialist" of wheat beers. :D

Good news:
- Beer scoreboard has been updated.
- I've discovered a new Hungarian beer in Tesco near ?jpest-V?roskapu (as I remember, we bought the ingredients of chili beans there for the Hungarian Stunts Meeting in 2003). It's Soproni Kinizsi (5,3 V/V%), called "quality lager beer" on the label... btw, it's a typical middle-class beer, my ranking is 6/10.
