I started my first long-term investment portfolio today, is this growing up, or what? ) I hope it'll help me to achieve my dreams. I was never pessimistic about my future, but since I got my new job, I feel I'm on the right track...

Thanks for reanimating this topic, CTG! I had totally forgotten about my promise to buy Argammon a beer in the afterlife.
I don't know why he believes there is an afterlife, but there must be very good reasons because he's otherwise very keen on being rational. Maybe he lost someone special at a critical time. It's sad when this kind of thing happens, but I don't think it justifies him or any religious people who might do the same thing to force-feed other people with strange beliefs without having them criticised.

But as I said, if I'm alive when I'm dead, I owe him one.

FYI, I fortunately did not lose someone special yet. Moreover, I don't care -at all- if you believe in the afterlife or not.

The post I quoted was posted on August 23, 2012, 07:44:51 PM. Thus, maybe, I don't check the forum THAT regularly. 

And yes, I did not want to write it, but using my name in the same sentence as "religious fanatics" and "force-feed with strange believes" felt like an insult to me. And just so you don't get me wrong: I am not surprised that you find these believes to be strange. I was more worried about the expression "force-feed".
