CCC Season 4 is on! The first track, Dual-Tip by @stanceboyCZ , will be open for racing at CCC's usual address until 2026-02-21 23:59:59 UTC. To race it, we will use four stylish cars by Ryoma:

  • Citroën CX 25 GTI Turbo
  • Alfa Romeo SZ
  • Opel Omega Lotus
  • Citroën XM V6 24

The car pack is attached below, and can also be downloaded from the site as usual.

The default CCC rules apply in this race, with one exemption: the tunnels on the west side of the track only must be driven through if you exit the dual-way sector using the icy path. In practice, that means it is okay to use the dirt path on the far west without it being a checkpoint violation.

A couple other notes about the new season:

  • As I mentioned earlier today, Season 4 will be comprised of three races, each one lasting for three weeks. Since all races will have the same length this time, weights like those of the Christmas event won't be needed for the season scoreboard.
  • Another change from the Christmas event is that for now I have reverted to CCC's usual setting of public replays until the quiet day.

Great opportunity to test new cars!

Is Dual-Way switching allowed or not?

Yes, it is allowed -- just note the restriction about the tunnels mentioned above applies if you switch on the west side and then do the path merge from the icy road.

then I ask for clarification - can I switch DWS exactly as shown in my screenshot?

Yes, that's fine. If, after that, you switch back to the inner path, you have to go through the tunnels; however, if you stay on the outer path until the merge, nothing extra is required.

@Duplode, Unfortunately, interest in the competition is low because for some reason you opened all the replays for viewing on regular days (except for the very last day). I'm in favor of returning to the standard classic settings with closed replays from the next stage.

While I also prefer the private replays for most of the racing period, this time I didn't show up because of lack of time. This looks a very interesting pack of cars and I'll try to test them before the deadline.

@Victor Narl CCC races from 2024 and earlier also had always-public replays, so on that respect the Christmas event was the exception rather than the norm. In any case, I don't feel strongly either way, so I guess we can flip it back and turn off downloads during the next race as an experiment.

I myself still have to try out two of them, by the way 😅

The results for the first race of Season 4 have been confirmed! Congratulations to the winner @Victor Narl (fantastic showcase of those cars!) and to @Spoonboy and @Alain il professore on the podium. As Alan noted, this was a nice set of sedans (metamorphosed or not :D) -- in particular, the Alfa SZ, the one I hadn't tried at all before this race, turned out to be a very enjoyable ride.

The new track will be up later today, probably at some point in the evening.

Victor Narl

@Duplode, thanks for the congratulations. I also liked the Alfa Romeo car, especially on the final cut, where I managed to drift it onto the icy apex. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fully utilize the PG on my Opel; my PG only worked for a few milliseconds, and then I had to brake immediately to comply with the tunnel rule.

Hello my friends,

Thank you Duplode and stanceboyCZ for a great competition! My congratulations go up to Spoonboy and Victor Narl! Congratulations to both and thank you for participating to everyone! Special thanks to Ryoma, whose talent at creating wonderful cars allow us to play our hobby on the next level of realism!

Now onto next month cars!

Alain il Professore.

P.S. : Even when the hot fever of this month competition has dropped already, you can always drop a better time on France Stunts "Dual-Tip" track permanent competition https://www.hyperionracingteam.win/fsc25/user_tracks.php
It is reasonable to expect that genetic influences on traits like IQ should become less important as one gains experiences with age. Surprisingly, the opposite occurs.

Victor Narl

@Alain il professore, thanks for the congratulations. It's a bit of a shame that @alanrotoi couldn't take part. I hope the next stage won't disappoint us.

Spoonboy

Congratulations to @Victor Narl and @Alain il professore! Particularly Victor with some very courageous and creative lines and some nice magic carpets ;D

As always, thanks to Ryoma for creating these cars. This variety is part of what makes CCC such a great series.

I enjoyed these laps and love CCC, but admit to finding it hard to compete in three series at once. Zak, R4K and CCC (with 4 cars!) all at once is a lot of laps to perfect, for me. But I persevered, as I have a lot of love for CCC.

Victor Narl

@Spoonboy, thanks for the congratulations. Yes, I agree that the calendar of these competitions is still too compressed. Many riders (including me) still haven't recovered from the merciless deadline of the Christmas stage, which may partly explain @alanrotoi's absence. So perhaps it wasn't worth taking such a short break between CCC competitions.
