Do you have an own collection? Rare books, stamps, bottle caps, cards, pens, napkins, coins, whatever...
When I was a child, I used to collect postal stamps and coins from different countries - quite small, valueless and not very special collections but still I liked them. Nowadays I keep the bottle caps of the tested beers... :D
I collect money from any country someone can get them for me. Recently I added some Mexican, Arabian, Indian and Canadian bills to my collection.
do you have any Hungarians?
No, nobody I know went there and I refuse to getting them in another way. They have to be a present from someone who was there. Getting them from a bank or that kind of thing is not interesting in my opinion, because anyone can do that.
to be on topic, I collect (moderately, as it's really expensive) fountain pens, especially Japanese, and already have about 15 pens alltogether.
We also have a small box of various coins from all around the world - not really a collection, and we inherited from our grandfathers a Hungarian special coin collection and a huge stamp collection, but these are not expanded anymore.

You know the Hungarian Stunts pipsqueaks so we can send you Hungarian money (or change for some Argentinian ;)). I have several old communist forint coins (several from each types) and there are also newer coins out of use (1 and 2 HUF, 1 USD is about 200 HUF).

That would be great! But maybe the price for sending them would be too high, I have no idea about it.
PS: When I quoted you, I saw you had added some IMG but I don't see them on the main post...

Only the pics of the 1 and 2 HUF coins, "retired" last year.
Btw I have coins from Austria, Brasil, Bulgaria, Canada, Czechoslovakia/Slovakia/Czech Republic, Finland, Germany (BDR), Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Serbia/Yugoslavia, Switzerland, United States and USSR. And of course several older Hungarian types... :)
When I was a kid I collected cigarettes boxes, beer cans, coins from other countries...

So did I. But I stopped some years ago, not enough time and money.
Almost forgot: I'm collecting train and public transport tickets since 1997 (and any other tickets too, like movie or museum). Only train is about sum 130,000 kms...
And this is my 8000th message at the Forum...

Not me. I "collect" only the USC replays, I don't keep even my own work after each races.
That's true I collect my winning/awesome crashes replays
Well I tried to be like the other girls and collected napkins (those with flowers and glitter), scraps and so on, but only for a very short time...then I forgot about the collections. Now the closest thing to a collection is my Morrissey singles (and to a certain limit - Depeche Mode singles). I don't really know if my collection of books counts as a real collection. I do have (or want to have) all books from some authors, but that's only because I want to read them :)
I also collect train tickets: started it in 1998 with my own ones, later I began to ask my friends to gave me their used tickets (as Bonzai Joe did at WSM 2004). Now I have tickets from Hungary, Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
Unfortunately, nowadays most tickets are printed on thermal paper (in Hungary and in many other countries), which is not worth to hold, because the text is disappearing within a few years. That's why the growth of my collection has almost stopped.
>:(
I collect coins (and some banknotes) from other countries, and I also have some old Hungarian ones, too.
I collect some old tickets (train, bus, football match, handball match, concerts), but only important ones (e.g. train ticket to Veszprém on the day when I f*cked Laura).
I collect some bottles of alcoholic drinks which were expensive or rare (I also have the bottle of the Absinthe of WSM 2004 on the top of the furniture in my room).
I collect all Stunts replays I've ever drove to competitions. I collect all the emails I received (due to a mistake, I lost some between 2002-04), I collect all msn logs I ever logged, I collect my old diaries, writings etc.
I collect illnesses.
