Sorry, we could have communicated about this a tad earlier, but
@Erik Barros and myself have been preparing the next life race event!
We will prepare two tracks to race on, and as far as cars go we have been cooking up a treat for you. The racing will happen in remixed vehicles, randomly picking mixing and matching car parts, such as the wheels, suspension and bodywork, from a selection of cars. Behind the scenes there has been discussion about and work on a program for remixing cars. As a proof of concept we're running this race with manually randomized/remixed vehicles, to see if the concept is fun.
Since everyone will run their own remixed vehicles the event will be even a little more "just for fun" than usual, expect to see some entirely new rivalries pop up as people get assigned randomly faster and slower vehicles.
We currently have two options open for when to hold the race, either Saturday (May 30th) 12 GMT or Sunday (May 31st) 12 GMT.
12 GMT in some common pipsqueak timezones is:
• 09:00 Buenos Aires, São Paulo
• 14:00 Amsterdam, Budapest, Rome
• 22:00 Brisbane
So reply to this topic, and state your preference for a day, and we will get back to you with the name of the event, the two tracks and your two personal rides.
O, one final thing I just came up with and haven't actually discussed with Erik yet: as part of your entry you can also nominate one or more custom cars for inclusion in the collection of cars we'll be taking parts from. This does not guarantee that you'll get a part from that car, in fact it doesn't guarantee anyone will. But hit us with your best source of either good parts or absolute chaos anyway. The original cars will all be included by default.
As long as we have a SuperKart with Monster Truck wheels, it sounds great!

About the date options I only can in Sunday at 9:00.
I work at that time the Saturdays but I'm at home (depending on the day) at 11:00 GMT -3.
Excellent! About the dates, I can show up on either, but Sunday should be a bit easier indeed, so my vote goes to that :)
Saturdays normally would be easier for me, but I've gotten used to the fact that live races are usually on Sunday. I'm a bit more tired because I tend to sleep later on Saturdays, but I can make it :)

But you do get a different random car for the second track!
Could you explain the rules or it will be surprise? Will it be balanced or random car wins because its performance? I think I'm lost here :D
It's a for fun Le Stunts race where the close rivalries will be different than usual because everyone has a random ass car. Some cars will be good in corners, others on the straights, and some might just be laugh out loud horrible.
It'd be even better if we could see eachother live on the track, but Stunts is Stunts.
You'll know what other people are packing though. What their cars are made out of. So you can still set mental goals, try to beat certain driver/car combinations.
I mean, you can't tell me you of all people are afraid you'll actually come in last because of a slow car. Isn't a car only as good as the driver?
Okay, so, update:
@Erik Barros is currently being a Stunts superhero by coding the last code of a fully event-ready version of the randomizer. This means we should be able to post your cars somewhere tomorrow. In the future the program can be used for nasty surprises, handing someone their car the minute before a race, but for this time I think we'll give you a chance to test drive the vehicles. When we post the cars we will also explain what the remixing actually entails.
Okay, after a bunch of randomization and a liiiiitle bit of manual rerandomization because my dice really suck at this, here are your cars! (Ran out of attachments, more in the next post.)
There is a zip file with two cars for everybody, one for the first track, one for the second, and an extra zip file for "Extra" in case anyone else joins, or a car doesn't work.
So, how does this work? Each car consists of several parts:
Model: In this version of the randomization this is purely the visual 3D model, Lucky dreadnaut.
Drivetrain: The engine, gearbox and dashboard are all kept together to prevent the cars from being buggy.
Brakes: ...
Tires: The grip values.
Mass: Mass, including PG status.
Aero: Air resistance. Yes, we installed custom air resistance on your car. We use special wax.
Suspension: Wheelbase, so the other part of handling, and driver height.
For this event we randomized from a list of 40 cars including the 11 originals, a bunch of recent-ish Zakstunts cars with some other crowd pleasers and sources of chaos thrown in. It was rather willy nilly, so there's probably at least one profilic car maker not represented at all. This is not a personal sleight.

Is it a very spectacular track? No. Am I happy with how it looks during track selection? Heck yeah!
This one should test not just acceleration, speed and cornering, but also braking power and the ability to not overjump.
