Not necesseraly by the devs. A corrupted replay, hacking the database, etc.
The replay file submitted will be validated server-side (re-played) to see the penalty times, etc. If the validator has buffer overflow issues or any other vulnerability, then the scoreboard can show a fake time.

The devs have to manually validate all the best times, therefore they will know the secret way to go how to achieve the best score.

"which is a huge leap compared to racing with the original executable"

Not in my eyes, especially nowadays when everyone can decomp and modify code by just talking to their phones.

If you're not interested in Stunts Online in the first place, then maybe your contribution isn't needed in this thread. You seem aimed at derailing and on pointless negativity.

With all this talk about cheating, it's again worth stressing that so far, Stunts Online has had no significant trouble with cheaters. We've only received a few  modified replays (I'm guessing by mr. nukem here), and these were automatically flagged and easily deleted within the same day. Besides that, hundreds of people have been playing fair and having fun, and admins have no doubts about the authenticity of Marco or the other top drivers.

I'm not saying the site is bulletproof, but I am saying that the cheating scenarios imagined in this thread have not actually existed in reality, so far.

This is how a middle aged man sounds when he's been aim-botted by 13 yo kids a few too many times. (On a second thought, maybe they didn't even cheat. Maybe they were just better than you and you can't accept that.)

dukenukem

So if modified replays are not cheating, why did you delete them?

"Cheating scenarios imagined not existed in reality" vs "received a few modified replays".

The SO rules are available in-game. So far we haven't had the need to make them more complicated than this.

So we are basically down to "please use only the approved client" situation. Not different than the NoRH championship with the DOS exe which had replay handling disabled.

Incorrect, but I'm not going to continue this ridiculous bad-faith debate.

If anyone else has any uncertainty about the rules, we'll be happy to answer in our discord. This thread no longer seems like a good place for it.

I'm not talking about the rules. And you know it too. I'm saying that if someone doesn't want to obey the rules, technically it is possible to use a modified client and use replay handling. Just like 3 years ago.

The difference that 3 years ago the AI was not that advanced that someone could just say "Re-enable RH in this client" and in 15 minutes it's there.

Stunts Online doesn't accept RH replays. You tried submitting them earlier, were easy to detect and your replays and accounts were deleted within the same day. You can now stop yammering about this topic, your point was already understood 2 forum pages ago. Everyone who doesn't live under a rock is already aware of AI.

Didn't you already try something like this because you couldn't drive? Then you got mad after your times were removed (as far as I understand from this thread), and went on this on-the-spectrum rampage about highscore manipulation and role-playing a cyber security expert.
