Stunts Online is now open! :)

It is based on the code shared by Sven/playstunts.com . But there are already multiple ways to have the original Stunts experience, so we made something a little different and more modern.

Stunts Online has, for example:
- Automatic leaderboards, championship, and racing against ghost cars
- A modern track editor and a new track format, with new track blocks, more varied terrain, unlimited off-grid scenery, custom horizons, etc
- The whole leaderboard in a single replay with flying camera controls
- Smooth framerate and unlimited drawing distance
- Some of the community-made cars enabled
- And much more.

You compete on a small selection of tracks (6 original, 10 permanent, and a few rotating community tracks), and get championship points based on your standing in each track.

Driving physics are still original, but you can't continue playing from a replay.

The game is completely free with nothing to buy in-game.

Development continues, and we have a few more fun ideas in store for the site.

Have fun!

We also have a discord here.

A new elements for tracks are really cool! I also suggest add the ability to create trick elements in the custom track editor not just on asphalt but also directly on dirt or ice surfaces (for example, it would be cool to see slalom on ice or dirt). This would be a real breakthrough in track construction and would take the game to a new level!

Thanks! That's on the to-do list for sure. In the meantime, placing blocks as scenery may already work for that in some cases. It's already implemented that any block can be used as scenery.

For example, you could lay down an ice road, then place slalom on top of it as scenery, and just a tiny bit below ground so the asphalt surface doesn't show.  As a bonus you can resize and rotate the scenery blocks.

NoRH is technically impossible. You would need a closed-down hardware to do it. Something what cannot be even jail-broken and no other peripherials allowed than official (guaranteed by cryptography).

In Chrome, the local override feature can override any JavaScript code.

Even if the code would run at server-side (and only transmitting the sound and video), the pressed keys could be recorded and played back until needed, from there, continue driving. Takes much more time than just rewinding with the replay viewer, but Replay Handling would be still possible.

Even if someone streams in live how they play (with their hands on the keyboard visible), a script might run in the background to send the proper keypress events, while just omitting the real ones, not to interfere. Hard to catch if there is some discrepancy between what's seen on the monitor and on the keyboard.

A solution could be to publish the new track at a given time (e.g. 8 PM), and there would be only 10 minutes to submit replays.

Keyboard macros are common knowledge because speedrunning communities have to deal with them all the time. Stunts Online has some things in place to hinder keyboard macros and javascript overrides, which I will not go in detail so it's more work for our hypothetical hacker.

It's always possible to overcome them eventually, but I don't think there's a single person who wants to go through all that trouble just to get high scores on Stunts-Online.com . And even if that happened I could just manually delete the scores.

We have had fun with timed tournaments in the past and Stunts Online will support them in the future, as soon as I can get a few more prioritized features out of the way.
