Hello,

I'd say, that the introducing the car coefficients was a nice idea - even though we have some full-podiums with the same car, the car rotation is working fine, and it's all up to you which cars we'll use in the future.

However, I'd like to give some extra spice to the game. My idea is to define the "car of the day" some days, on which replays sent with a previously non-announced car will get a 10% bonus on the current percentage, not the time. (for example a 30% bonus would go up to 33% with this rule)
Only currently unused cars on the scoreboard could get the bonus. With this my results expected are:

-Decrease "maxing out", as you only have one day to race with the car of the day.
-Increase the number of used car types on each track
-Increase pipsqueak activity during the middle of the month, when it's usually lower.

Avoiding exploits:
-Selections would be chosen automatically by a script, so that I can not be accused by selecting a car in favour of someone.
-The expected "I drive with a car, and don't send my replay until the car has a bonus day" exploitation would be reduced to almost 0, with the fact that only unused cars are in the selection - usually 3 days after race start all the really potent cars are used. If you drive with 4 cars simultaneously the same track, well then I think you deserve the bonus.

"Car of the day" rule would not be active on the first week and last week of a track. On the first week the activity is big anyway, and the last week I'd rather not bring random elements into a fierce race.
That leaves us 2 weeks left, which would probably allow all unused cars appearing twice (but you can never trust a randpm algorhythm of course :)) each month.

Well, how do you like it? Vote and comment!

The idea is seductive, but I feel too much could go wrong. First of all, in most cases not only the very strong cars, but the semi-strong ones usually appear on the scoreboard on the first week. It's true they do not tend to stay there for long, but often they do (for instance, think of Z84, when it took a long while until it became obvious Indy was the way to go; or the many-many tests in Z82). So there's a real risk the cars which would have a real chance of fighting for the top spots with the COtD bonus would get excluded (and of course extending the benefit to all cars would make no sense). As a consequence, the possibility of "bonus day hiding" does not seem so remote, particularly for specialists of any semi-strong cars who judge it unlikely that anyone will race with their vehicle of choice. Or, even worse, we might see the opposite situation of someone uploading a replay just to lock out any threatening car. A possible approach to circumvent such "manipulative" behaviour would be to only use COtD on the third week, thus inducing top pipsqueaks to fight for LTB with the top cars on the first two weeks. However, that would make the accidental exclusion of any semi-strong cars even more likely. And finally, while the COtD bonuses have the potential to spice up mid-month battles (particularly LTB skirmishes), the overall effect on final scoreboards wouldn't be that large, since a 3% bonus won't really give a semi-strong car a real advantage over the natural (very strong) cars for the race, especially because pipsqueaks would have another week to try and beat the COtD result - which also implies maxing out wouldn't be minimized anyway (in general, I do not believe there is any effective way of preventing maxing out in a monthly RH race).

Thus, my vote will be "No", albeit a tiny bit regretful...

No. Because no.

I hate when things change.

Good idea, but as I don't go to watch the website every day (and I'm probably not the only one) I may miss some opportunities...
I'm not a max-out replay specialist. I used to tend to be one in 2003, but got tired of it. Reducing the race duration would be better for me. Less time for max-out specialists, more chances for me. ;D
Anyway, I like the concept. So I vote yes.
