Round 27
BUDAPEST HONVÉD - VIDEOTON FC; home victory 15%; draw 35%; guest victory: 50%; expected result: 1-3
MEZÖKÖVESD ZSÓRY FC - FERENCVÁROSI TC 20-35-45; expected result: 0-3
PUSKÁS AKADÉMIA FC - GYÖRI ETO FC 25-35-40 (refrees will help Orbán's lil' team - to help Orbán's main team for the silver medal); expected result: 2-1 (Orbán's son will score from penalty)
DVTK - SZOMBATHELYI HALADÁS 30-40-30; expected result: 1-1
LOMBARD PÁPA TERMÁL FC - DVSC-TEVA 10-25-65; expected result: 1-3

Results:
Budapest Honvéd - Videoton 0-1
Mezökövesd - Ferencváros 0-1
Puskás Akadémia - Györi ETO 0-1
Diósgyör - Haladás 1-1
Lombard Pápa - Debrecen 1-5

Standings:
1 Debrecen 56 pts
2 Györi ETO 53 pts
3 Videoton 48 pts
4 Ferencváros 48 pts
5 Haladás 45 pts
6 Diósgyör 43 pts

Great predictions. You should put money on them next time. The only miss was because of typical CTG pessimism. If you had been honest, you would have guessed ETO would win.
But we can't be quite sure.

Round 28
FERENCVÁROSI TC - DVTK 35-35-30 (expecting a brutal war on the field); expected result: 3-2
VIDEOTON FC - KAPOSVÁRI RÁKÓCZI FC 80-15-5; expected result: 6-1
DVSC-TEVA - ÚJPEST FC 50-35-15; expected result: 1-0
GYÖRI ETO FC - BUDAPEST HONVÉD 30-40-30 (we don't really like to play against Honvéd...); expected result: 1-2
SZOMBATHELYI HALADÁS - MVM-PAKS 40-40-20; expected result: 1-1

It's better not to bet on the next round, it's a lot more risky:

Ferencváros vs Diósgyör is a prestige match, both teams have really mad fanatic supporters, FTC is in better form in the championship, but DVTK just kicked their ass in League Cup semi-final (quite an irrelevant cup, but still...)

Videoton vs Kaposvár: Orbán FC is still going for the silver medal, while Kaposvár has only a tiny mathematical chance to avoid relegation (last place, 9 pts from the safe 14th position). Probably the only fix result, we will see many goals.

Debrecen vs Újpest seems to be a clear match on paper (based on the standings and the extreme crappy form of Újpest), but DVSC doesn't really like to play against the purple monkeys. However, the peasants still have a lot better chance to win.

Györi ETO vs Budapest Honvéd... well... difficult match. Honvéd is always dangerous and maybe they are our "bugaboos" in the league compared to their poor skills (traditionally we have worse results versus Vasas, but they are in the second class now.. and Ferencváros, but since they are strong, it's less annoying to suffer against them)

Haladás vs Paks: although the home team is 5th and the guests are only 14th on the tabelle, the real difference is not that big between them. Might be a tight match.

CTG

La Liga: annoying performance from Atletico and Barca, bad luck for cristiana FC (although their 90+ min goal should be considered lucky, they dominated the game & stats, so the poor one point doesn't really cover the reality). Should be an interesting finish, just like in Premier League.

CTG

Local football, 5th class:

Bácsa FC - Téti Sokoró FC 4-2, we are still fighting for the championship title!

6 rounds before the finish:
1 Táp 57 pts
2 Rábaszentandrás 56 pts
3 Bácsa FC 54 pts
4 Pannonhalma 49 pts
5 Abda 49 pts
6 Györszentiván 49 pts
7 Györújbarát 44 pts
huge gap, the next team has 29 pts :D

Remaining matches, not so easy series:
Táp (1st) - Bácsa, f*ckin' hard game
Bácsa - Györújfalu (8th)
Rábapordány (9th) - Bácsa
Bácsa - Györújbarát (7th)
Rábaszentandrás (2nd) - Bácsa, another key game
Bácsa - Töltéstava (16th)

Létavértes is the farm team of DVSC, which you hated very much in your last posts because of Orbán...

I hate DVSC mainly because they are peasants and because my father-in-law and you are Debrecen fans. ;D The Fidesz factor is secondary in this case (Videoton and Felcsút are a lot worse from this aspect) - however, it's still a significant fact.

I hate KBSC because they are gipsies and because it's your hometown. :P

So: peasant factor + minor Poo factor + in-law factor < gipsy factor + major Poo factor ;D

CTG

Sometimes the less is more: Atletico Madrid needs only 2 pts to win La Liga - while they can lose it with 3 pts. Atletico and Barca are my favorite teams in Spain, but the latter one doesn't really deserve the title now (maybe not even the second place, Real Madrid seems to be a lot stronger at the moment). I hope to see ATM winning both the championship and CL.

Isn't it six rounds?

Already 10... ::)

Yes, and if we lose the last one, we can be the first team in the history of the "Superliga" (since 1994) to lose against all the other teams in a row. This is quite a feat because in 2002, Lyngby went bankrupt in the middle of the season and had to play the last 15 games with only amateur players. Still, they managed a draw against Vejle in the third last game.

Relegation is a fact as of today. I have no comments anymore. Not sure I can bother to follow their games next season.
But we can't be quite sure.

3rd class, gipsy/peasant + Ferencváros + REAC + Veresegyház (=east) division:

Hajdúböszörmény (10th) - Létavértes (1st) 0-5 ;D
Kazincbarcika (2nd) - Veresegyház (fuckin' last) 1-1, well-done, Szilvi Town ;D :P

3 rounds left, standings:

1 Létavértes 61 pts
2 Poo Town 58 pts
3 DVSC-DEAC 51 pts

GO LÉTAVÉRTES!!! ;D

I hope it's just the usual pessimism, but I'm afraid Atletico will be the tragic hero of this football season: Barca will have luck (and refrees) in the last round of La Liga, while Real will demolish them in CL final. :-\

I like Barcelona, but lame Tata's gnome squad (with lazy and fed Messi) don't deserve to be the champion of this season with their impotent gameplay. Based on their performance, they were only the third best team in Spain, with huge amount of luck. Actually, Tata is a really bad and colorless coach with no sense to tactics. Barca should find a strict and more characteristic coach, being able to win the respect of the players and to teach alternative strategies instead of fruitless ball possession. And they need some new players, too - preferably not midgets (Messi, Iniesta) or bantamweights (Jordi Alba, Neymar), because the new tactics would require physically strong warriors (like Ibrahimovic was a few years ago in FCB). And please fire Pinto, he would be a crappy keeper even in Hungary.

Round 29
PUSKÁS AKADÉMIA FC - DVSC-TEVA 10-25-65; expected result: 1-3
DVTK - PMFC-MATIAS 40-40-20; expected result: 2-0
KAPOSVÁRI RÁKÓCZI FC - GYÖRI ETO FC 20-30-50; expected result: 1-2
SZOMBATHELYI HALADÁS - FERENCVÁROSI TC 25-40-35; expected result: 1-1
MEZÖKÖVESD ZSÓRY FC - VIDEOTON FC 5-10-85 (Orbán's C team will lay down easily); expected result: 0-4

More detailed opinion:

Puskás Akadémia - Debrecen: Orbán's local team will stay in first class for sure (what a surprise), so they can afford to lay down against the other Fidesz team.

Diósgyör - Pécs: now it's only a useless middle class derby, nothing more. I don't expect a good match.

Kaposvár - Györi ETO: the home team is already relegated to second class, they should not have enough motivation - but I'm afraid ETO will be too self-confident or just too frustrated because of the expectations... well... crossing fingers...

Haladás - Ferencváros: the guests are in extremely good form, probably they are the strongest team in the league at the moment. Prediction should be reconsidered (although refrees won't let Ferencváros to overtake Videoton).

Mezökövesd - Videoton: fixed result of two Fidesz teams, Mezökövesd is out of first class, they won't resist on the field.
