Quote from: Duplode on September 14, 2026, 02:17:09 AMRound 2 will be up at the usual address in a few hours from now.

Update completed! In Round 2, we'll be racing on "Let the river run" by @Cas , until four Saturdays from now (deadline 2026-10-110 23:59:59 UTC). The car pack (attached below and available from the site) is comprised of single-seater fast cars, so expect a fast race!

  • @alanrotoi 's Williams Renault FW12C
  • Alan Rotoi's Penske Chervolet Indy
  • @Zapper 's McLaren Honda MP4/4

The usual CCC rules apply; no extra rules or exceptions this time.

Round 2 results confirmed!

Note that, after reviewing the replays, there were changes to the preliminary results that showed up on the site yesterday (when I revealed the quiet laps but didn't manage to finish the check). Alan's Williams and Penske replays use the classic bug loop cut (that is, driving through the descending leg of the loop) at the first loop, which unfortunately goes against the "you may not drive through barriers" standard CCC rule.

That being so, congratulations to @Zapper for the win, to @alanrotoi for (still) having the fastest overall lap, and to @Cas for contributing the track and eventually making into what's now a four-racer podium.

Round 3 will start today; I'll complete the update in the coming hours. Meanwhile, here are the current season standings:

  • ROT: 18 + 4 = 22
  • ZAP: 12 + 8 = 20
  • SPO: 15 + 0 = 15
  • DUP: 9 + 6 = 15
  • NRL: 6 + 0 = 6
  • CAS: 0 + 4 = 4
  • STC: 3 + 0 = 3

Oh I didn't know about that rule. So the rules aren't that free + checkponits. Maybe I got confused by the rules title. My bad.

Spoonboy

Meant to compete in Round 2 but got busy with other stuff and ran out of time. Hopefully I'll have a better Round 3.

@Duplode, that changes things completely (in terms of some replays being cancelled). I had already resigned myself to defeat because my score would have been 30:6 against Rotoi (if there hadn't been any cancellations) and there was no way to make up for it even in 6 stages. But now my score is 22:6, and so the fight for first place is still alive. But I will not stop repeating that the timing for the first two stages was unfortunate (due to the height of the tourist season), and it was also a mistake to put the longest track on the first stage.

It's valid to only race for winning but it's not the only way to have fun.

Why do you think this? You mean it's better an easier and short track for the kick start?

To kick off the season, it is best to use a pleasant, non-exhausting track no longer than three minutes—especially since everyone was tired after the Z300 and it was the height of the northern summer. The longer the track, the more time is needed for high-quality RH. Alain and I immediately withdrew from the competition as soon as we saw the length of the CCC1 track.
