I'm still using FF2, I had some issues with FF3 with BATRacer website (FF3 gets frozen and I need to do CTRL+ALT+DEL to manually stop it).
I never had this problem, maybe your problem is related to something else...
Maybe. I know I have a big malware on my computer : its name is Windows Vista. :D :D :D
LOL! A friend of mine told that very same joke few days ago!  :D
It looks like Vista really sucks!
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

Great CPU test, try it: http://www.primatelabs.ca/geekbench/

Quote from: Primate Labs Blog1000 is the score a Power Mac G5 @ 1.6GHz would receive

My average score is 1178 at workplace (AMD Sempron 2500+, 1.75 Ghz, single core)

It's also a good stuff for comparing CPUs before buying. You can find quite interesting results, for example: it seems T3200 dual-core (~2200) have better scores than T5550 Core 2 Duo (~2000) - both are quite popular in basic level notebooks, the first one is a lot cheaper...

It depends of what you will do with your notebook :
Play 3D games ? Focus on 3D card instead of CPU speed.
Encoding videos ? Focus on CPU performance instead of 3D card.
Simply play Stunts, work with Excel and browse the web ? Low CPU and cheap 3D card won't be an issue.

Relation is the opposite: if I have a low CPU and cheap 3D card than I won't play with new games. If it's better then of course I will... :D

I wonder about your Geekbench test results.

I have to choose XP... people say some of the softwares I have to use for my work are not very familiar with Vista (like the 16-bit based mass spectrometry evaluation software). On the other hand I like XP and don't really want to change.

Project is close to the finish line: calculating with my low cash and the essential things in the required computer, I won't buy Core 2 Duo (no Vista, no problem with worse CPUs, right?). My current choice seems to be Acer Aspire 5530 (CPU: Athlon X2 64 QL-60, 1900 MHz, 1 MB L2 cache; RAM: 2 GB, 667 MHz DDR2; graphic card: Ati Radeon HD3200) or Lenovo 3000 n500 (CPU: Intel Dual-Core T3200, 2000 MHz, 1 MB L2 cache; RAM: 2 GB, 667 MHz DDR2; graphic card: Intel GMA X4500). With 3 years warranty they are both around 150,000 HUF. Core 2 Duo computers with the same level of video cards and warranty are above 200,000 HUF. Tomorrow I'm going to buy one of them...

go for the lenovo :)

It seems Acer Aspire doesn't support XP... Too bad, I liked my former Acer very much. On the other hand AMD Athlon X2 QL60 is higher in CPU rankings (notebookcheck.net) than dual-core T3200 and the graphic card in Acer is also stronger. Still checking the offers, maybe I missed something. Money is already in the pocket. :)

Final choice became really hard: reading the new offers of different shops, a sudden fall of prices could be seen. After heavy thinking (it hurts! Okay, not that - hangover after drinking industrial amount of alcohol last night hurts... ;D) I decided to buy a HP and hopefully I'll get it in the afternoon.

I can't assess the 170.000HUF, but that configuration looks really good...

I like the design too but now let's start with battery charging. ;)
