Oh no, I've missed the most important match of the weekend! But at least I'm contented with the result. ;)

NB II, Group East, 1st round:
Kazincbarcika - Szolnok 1-2

I didn't want to mention it there because of the terribly shameful result. But you did it. We will take revenge on your team in the spring season!  ;D

UEFA Cup qualifications, 2nd round, first match:

VfB Stuttgart - Györi ETO FC 2-1 (2-1)

ETO played quite good (with a nice goal), they deserved that tight game. Re-match? I guess Stuttgart has 95 percent chance for knocking out our team. But the ETO stadium will be full of Hungarian fanatics, they give that 5 percent... ;)

Surprisingly tight match for Györ, I guess Stuttgart will kill them on the second match. Debrecen also played, and sucked: Young Boys-Debrecen 4-1 (1-1)... it's so typical, Hungarian teams play the weakest against beatable (but not weak) teams on important matches...

It would have been easier for Debrecen if they had to play the Old Ladies team instead...

Anyway, things are looking great for Danish football at the moment. We have 5 teams in the European tournaments, and they are all doing great. This round's results:

CL:
AaB (Aalborg) - Kaunas (Lithuania) 2-0

UEFA:
Brøndby - Haka Valkeakoski (Finland) 4-0
Queen of the South (Scotland) - FC Nordsjælland 1-2
FC København - Lillestrøm (Norway) 3-1
Manchester City - FC Midtjylland 0-1

Chances for advancement:

Aab: 75%
Brøndby: 99%
FC Nordsjælland: 90%
FC København: 80%
FC Midtjylland: 35%

And in the national league, AGF Aarhus just thrashed Brøndby by 2-1 :) skid off Brøndby.
But we can't be quite sure.

Chulk - Duplode 3-0...  :D
YES! Great match from us. Brazil decided not to try to attack, as they did in Copa America final and in Qualyfiers (with good result, I must say), only that this time, Argentina manged to score and when they had to attack, they just didn't know how to do it. It seemed after the 1st goal, that they would pressure in Argentina's side of the field, but it only lasted until Mascherano appeared with full power in the match (R. Benitez said he's the best Defensive Midfielder in the world, I think so too) and even generated 2 red cars (Lucas and Thiago Neves).
Now, a very difficult match against Nigeria (African young teams are always strong) at Beijing's 12pm. It will be very hot, so they have and advantage there. Anyway, I think we will win, but it won't be an easy victory as today...  :D

Final Nigeria-Argentina will be the revenge of Olympics 1996 (victory of Nigeria 2-1 if I remember it well).

No, you remember wrong. It was 3-2. That Nigeria team was really great, my favourite for those games (after Argentina, of course). Kanu, Okocha, Babayaro, Amunike, Amokachi, Oruma, Babangida... A hell of a team, really.
Also, Brazil also played (and won) Bronze medal there, beating Portugal 5-0. Ronaldinho played in that Brazilian team as an u-23 and Bebeto scored a great hattrick in that bronze medal match.

It must have been me, as I was the only active Brazilian back then IIRC... :D As for the game, well, the truth had to appear eventually: there's no way we can pretend to be a defensive team while doing such passive defending, or playing an isolated striker while having three attacking midfielders and two very techincally-capable defensive mids. This farce keeps running blatantly through all of the skidding "Dunga era" - even at Copa América one year ago it was pretty obvious Argentina lost the game to a far bigger extent than we actually won it (it never would have happended should Argentina perform at their usual level).

But to hell with our male team anyway, we still have a great final ahead of us tomorrow... :)

It was expectable. Most of the 'real' team is in Beijing. This was just to see some other players.

Well...

Quote from: Nemzeti Sport OnlineCarrizo – J. Zanetti, Burdisso, Coloccini, Heinze – Ledesma (Cavenaghi, 64.), Cambiasso, L. González, J. Gutiérrez – Denis (M. González, 64.), Tévez (L. López, 79.)

It seems to be a very strong Argentinian team... Only Messi, Agüero and Riquelme are missing.

Mascherano and Gago are in Beijing too. Also Demichelis and Maxi Rodriguez missed the match.
