Chulk

Right! I had promised to race, and I will right now.
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

Beware, Krys is racing hard. ;D

Chulk

Yes, I just saw his 1:16. I'm glad I didn't send my 1:20.XX. I'll try a bit more now.

Krys TOFF

Quote from: CTGBeware, Krys is racing hard. ;D
Well, not SO hard. This is only my 2nd attempt (1st one was 1'20"xx too).
Even if I'm not sure I can reach 1'12 or 1'11 like the leaders, my goal is to go below 1'15.

If you do that, you win. (at least so far).

PS: @CTG: It seems you didn't recieve my replay (1:17.30) yesterday. I'll send it again after my afternoon Stunts session, or maybe an improved one...

I did not get it.

Duplode

This round was the closest to perfect silence so far. Maybe that's appropriate: in my view, this is the first real key race, the one which will determine what the goals of each pipsqueak will be...

CTG

Update: in a few hours, just came back to Budapest. I sent my final time to Zak in SMS before midnight to be totally fair.

Sorry, I'm very busy now, no time to update (maybe in the night). Edit: UPDATED! The only thing you have to know about the fair contest: CTG got no point for this round...  ;D

New track is here!

Track name: Izhevsk (Russia)
Car: Melange XGT-88
Deadline: 7th September 2008
Difficulty: 3/5
Predicted winning time: 1:05.00

Few words about the overall standings: it's obvious that Bonzai Joe and Ayrton are the main aspirants for the final victory, their match will decide it in the 6th round. The third place is a bigger question: Zak, Duplode and CTG have the same points at the moment. Maybe Zak has the hardest exercise in the last 3 races, while Duplode vs CTG will take place in the last round. Chulk's 6th place seems to be safe but possibly he can't step higher with these time results - his opponents will be the current podiumers. AbuRaf and Krys will have a cruel battle with Indy to avoid the league's last place... based on the duels of round 5, 6 and 7.

Opponent list:

ABU - CTG, DUP, KRY (prediction: 0+0+1, final result: 1 pt)
AYR - CHU, BON, ZAK (prediction: 2+2+2, 2 bonus points, final result: 17 pts)
BON - ZAK, AYR, CHU (prediction: 2+0+2, 2 bonus points, final result: 15 pts)
CHU - AYR, ZAK, BON (prediction: 0+0+0, final result: 4 pts)
CTG - ABU, KRY, DUP  (prediction: 2+2+0, 1 bonus point, final result: 11 pts)
DUP - KRY, ABU, DUP (prediction: 2+2+2, final result: 12 pts)
KRY - DUP, CTG, ABU (prediction: 0+0+1, final result: 1 pt)
ZAK - BON, CHU, AYR (prediction: 0+2+0, 1 bonus point, final result: 9 pts)

BonzaiJoe

Argh, this Ayrton is a tough one to beat. If I can't win in the Countach, how am I supposed to win in the Corvette?
Live teamwork worked fantastic for Shanghai (Zak and I were racing side by side on each our laptop and comparing section times), and I will miss that on the last tracks.
Judging by his live racing results, Chulk could be a lot better if he spent enough time on replay handling, but I guess it's too late for him in this race.
But we can't be quite sure.

CTG

Shanghai analysis is available, what a shame I didn't solve that damned trick... (there was a bit similar try, making a bug jump on the bridge's "wall" - I got a bit worse time than without it...)

BonzaiJoe

Cork's Crew racing their favourite car on Shanghai together:

But we can't be quite sure.
