Back to football: I wonder why the Brasilian stars burn out so fast (Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaká, Adriano - and I guess Neymar will show the same).

What I find striking in your examples is the contrast between Kaká and Adriano: the former is a model professional and adeeply religious man; the other, an undisciplined, psychologically troubled player. Water and wine, and yet both were spent before turning 30. I don't think Neymar will suffer from the same fate (barring misfortune with injuries); the real question is whether he will rise to the levels everyone seems to expect him to, or else follow the footsteps of that previous Santos superstar, Robinho.

I wouldn't put Kaka in this group... We know the others burnt out because they loved party, alcohol and sex more than anything else.
IMO Kaká did not burn out, he simply faded because he chose to go to RM even if it meant not playing often or RM style not suiting him as well as Milan FC did. He couldn't keep his rhythm and his skills at his best in RM. I guess it happens when a player that good does not play regularly enough.
I remember something like that happened with Saviola when he went to RM. He was always over .4 goals per game before he went to RM. There he only scored 5 goals in 26 matches during 2 seasons (most of them coming as a sub).
Sometimes players don't take a team's style or how much will they play there into account when they get transferred to other clubs, and that ends up harming their careers many times.
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

Kaka is the brazilian player I like more. He is different, he's cerebral.

MTK - Györi ETO 1-3

Even if I know that Orbán won't let us to win the title (but at least Videoton sucked versus Basel in EL, muhahahaha), the current leading position is really incredible.

Well, as being Hungarian, I'd never thought that I could ever say the following sentence:

FOREVER ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC!!!  ;D

But knowing how much I hate British football, and seeing his performance today, I really must praise this genius player.

BÖFF!!!

We don't suck, it was just a crappy not-motivating match to play. Those friendlies we only play because money is good. Think about it, if you were any of the guys that are usually in the starting eleven of Argentina's NT (Romero; Zabaleta, Fernandez, Rojo; Mascherano, Di Maria; Messi, Agüero), would you really play seriously against such a weak team?
