Maybe Usrin said 4-0...

No. I said 1-1, with Spanish victory in extra time.

I'm third.

Muhahahahaha!!! ;D :P :P :P

I'm happy to see you suck because of the disgusting circumstances of your last tip. The only candidate for victory showing up a public prediction was CTG. And see who won... :P

Poo will explain it with a conspiracy about "fixed" match results (ESP-CRO, ESP-ITA). But it doesn't have an effect on our prediction game, even if it was only theatre.

Final result:

1 CTG 39 (35+4)
2 Usrin 36 (25+11)
3 Akoss Poo 33.33 (30+3.33)
4 Duplode 28 (25+3)
5 Chulk 24 (22+2)
6 Bonzai Joe 22 (20+2)

(I also svcked against Pöcs - friend of mine - who had 44 pts (33+11) in the same game.)

Now let's talk a little bit about the football and not this prediction game.

Spain: I'm fond of their (and Barcelona's)  fast and effective passes, but I can't believe that after 4 years the rivals still can't find the medicine against tiki-taka. Easy and well-deserved victory anyway (4-2-0, 12-1; really hard opponents).

Italy: positive surprise of the tournament with some luck and well organized gameplay (except in the final). Even if they play boring, the new generation of Italian football seems to be promising - I guess their club football will rise, too. Banana for Balotelli anyway! Not because I'm racist, but because he's such an annoying clown. ;D

Germany: the future dream team, they only missed some experience. They learned (under Klinsmann and Löw) to play not only effective, but attractive. I bet on them for winning World Cup 2014. On the other hand I miss some "typical Deutsch" from Nationalelf (like Kahn or Effenberg was 10 years ago).

Portugal: cr thought it will be a one man show. He was wrong. Without his egoism and selfishness Portugal would be more successful and a lot more likeable.

Czech Republic: ridiculous weak group, luck, the Russian and Portugal games showed the reality. They did not deserve to be in quarter-finals.

England: the same impotent style like in the last few years. Their only luck was getting a weak group.

France: their style improved, but there's still lack of unity in the team.

Greece: like the Czechs, but at least they were able to beat Russia.

Croatia: maybe their players are not that valuable, but CRO is always a strong squad. They would have good chance in group A and D.

Denmark: even if their fall was the reality, they played well. Denmark was stronger than any teams from group A.

Ireland: lightweight contestant in a strong group, their participation was a gift from the UEFA. Even Hungary is stronger - that's a huge insult.

Netherlands: high and migthy squad with arrogant players, luckily without team spirit. It seems they inherited the permanent looser status from Spain.

Poland: just the form on paper. They couldn't really get advantage from being the host.

Russia: I hope that the Czech game was their real face. Arshavin burned out.

Sweden: disappointing performance against Ukraine, bad luck versus England, confident victory against France. Independently from the results I think they were the strongest team in this group.

Ukraine: ambivalent feelings (beating SWE, suffering vs France, bad luck with bad refree in the last match), but they wouldn't really deserve to qualify to the knock-out phase.

It was a strong mediorce tournament in general with several enjoyable matches and only a few 0-0s. I think Euro2000 remains the best international cup forever...

Congratulations on winning the prediction game! I also agree with everything you said about the teams' performance. Actually I agree so completely that I fear we might both have been brainwashed by commentator consensus...
But we can't be quite sure.

Maybe. Although many commentators said Spain is boring with this neverending passing game. As for me it's not only useful, but it's still good to watch. It's a huge advantage for them to have most of the key players from the two Spanish giants (I missed Puyol very much).

How funny, Barcelona bought another tricky "dwarf", Jordi Alba. He's damned fast and quite dynamic in taking over the ball. With this performance he has a great chance to be a permanent team member.

If those commentator says that just comment Golf :P

No flamewar in the air, just an additional comment. First I just wanted to neglect your sh!t, but I decided to react.
In the past 15 years, you were the man who went crazy when numbers were related to a group of people including you, especially when an opponent was Akoss Poo in reaching a higher score there, no matter if it was just a silly competition or the meaning of life.
The long and epic history of CTG vs. Akoss rivalry teems with scandalous moments triggered by you, including cheatings and cheating attempts, suddenly broken allianes, unfulfilled promises, as I guess everybody knows here.
As a result, I feel victorious when I manage to block all slots from you where I can suffer a possible cheating. Now I feel this way again - with my way of tipping. Even if my tip was wrong.
It is totally unpredictable whether you take a competition seriously or not, but one thing is sure, when you can't hold things in your hand, you pretend that you are not interested in. And what is more disgusting and shameful than my way of tipping is, that after all these, you have a nerve to act like the frank and honest CTG...

In a nutshell: I had my reasons, based on the experienes of the past 15 years, to take this way of tipping.
