Thanks to both of you for testing!

@KyLiE Happy to hear my small surprise was found by someone :) Not sure if the new track of the month in R4K is meant as stress test for my mod but I'm going to try it out soon. Interesting that the author is the founder of Pixelmusement, I guess retrogaming is a small world after all.

@Matei Feel free to adjust to your liking the params of the two fast modes. If you send me back the results in the next days I can bake your preferred numbers in the release.

New volunteers are welcome!

Thanks, but just leave it as it is if no one asks for any settings. I have version 1.6 and I prefer it. More options for me and the original interface of Stunts had some options that you eliminated (for no clouds and no scenery).

Looking good, very good! Feels alright around 20k cycles on Default. I'd probably use it on level 2 or 3. Definitely not 5 ;D  I'm currently still in the vanilla camp, but I can see this giving a real advantage on LeStunts live races for example.

Thanks for the feedback! If the mod is successful think a discussion should be had whether it is competition-legal. It appears to me that many competitors are OK with that but it's worth to get an official consensus. For now, when I play competitively I do so only on the vanilla game.

My feeling (not an official statement) is that in most competition learning the track is more important than seeing in the distance. However, this flips around for live racing or competitions where the track is new for everyone, and the additional visibility can make a difference.

Each competition will have to take Supersight into account when considering rules and participant situations.

I've been testing the latest version for quite some time now, and while it works great for the most part, I've been experiencing occasional random crashes, whereas previous versions never did.  Today I discovered a way to repeatedly replicate a crash, so I thought I'd report it.  Here is the procedure:

  • Start the game with the graphic level set to "FULL".
  • Go to the car selection menu.  The Countach should be selected by default.
  • Continuously cycle through the different colours.

After about 15 seconds, the game will crash.  I've experienced in-game crashes as well, but I haven't figured out a way to repeatedly replicate those.

Which version do you use? I never had any problem. You can try the executables from here:

https://matei.one/games.html#download

I set the viewing distance a little lower, obviously, documentation inside. I removed (and replaced) the "Countach" cuz I didn't like it, so I didn't test what you specified.

Then just take the previous version, that's what I did (supersight-v1.6).

Or as I wrote above:

I guess this version will remain a side branch then. When I find the time I will port the new features (unlocked zoom, etc.) on v1.6.

Thanks for your report!
