Re-volt racing game

Couldn't find anything about this racing game on the forum (besides one post from 2002) so here it goes.

Anyone familiar with the 1999 racing game Re-volt? It was (together with Stunts and Need for Speed 3: Hot Pursuit) the racing game I probably played most as a kid.

It's a cool arcade pipsqueak in which you have to drive radio controlled cars through different kinds of environments like supermarkets, museums and a western town. It also features a variety of power-ups like bowling balls, fireworks and oil to make your opponents lives as miserable as possible.

For a game from 1999 it has aged surprisingly well so if you haven't played it yet I can highly recommend it. Search for Re-volt I/O and you'll find what you are looking for  .

I do remember Re-volt on the PlayStation! I didn't play it all that much back then, but I do recall it had a neat track editor. Great to see it has a remake and an active community!

I never played Revolt, nor am I tempted, but like Stunts, it's a game with toy cars. The problems I see are that you can't drive from inside the car and the cars are really small - even smaller than in Stunts. Also, compared to Revolt, Stunts has a very good and realistic physics simulation. As I mentioned, compared to Revolt. I saw that both Revolt and Need for Speed III are available at archive.org. I played with Need for Speed III quite a bit, but there's nothing to do with it really; most car games are like that. As I wrote before, we apparently don't have to worry about copyright of old games so much. Just a question:

Why don't you just play Quake? Also, when you drive controlled cars, the idea is that you look at them from one place and don't fly behind them, which I find weird. A better game with remote controlled cars is this:
