At last I got to exchange my falling Athlon XP platform for a brand new C2D! As mentioned on USL thread, I was having hell to set it up right, particularly to format the SATA HD and install XP in it. But now everything seems fine... Oh yes, Stunts works well on DOSBox, under exactly the same configs of the old computer.

Don't expect a lap form me anytime soon, as I still have to learn how to manage NSX PG properly...

Yep and I hate it. ;D

How to fit the most information in a single datasest... but MS analysis seems more irritating, at least for a "beginner" perspective ;).

Thist time I'm 100% unable to challenge the forecast: considering what I've seen up to now, NSX is by far my worst car, and I'll have to work very hard to avoid a massive defeat.

Too bad I couldn't really have a chance to push it at least to 1:04:XX. This weekend was dedicated to setting up a new PC. As you might imagine, is not going fine :P

as I'll have a nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy exam at 2pm and now it's time to start learning. :D

:o Holy ...., you have to study NMR too!!

:o Wow Mark, this looks very hard! Starting ASAP will be crucial for a reasonable performance...

Really glad to hear from you Paleke, and congratulations for your job...

Duplode, CTG wants to use IRC name in a reference to Indy Racing Cup, a competition that took place after ISA (International Stunts Association) from mid-2002 to the end of 2003.

Yep, I'm aware of it - I just thought WSC name should be held alive in case of a "merger"...

Finally, on WSC: Whatever Paleke says, I'm fine with it  :).

For Duplode: I'm not hunting on your time. I want to beat BJ's. ;D

Fine, I had foreseen it  ;D. Of course I'm racing for the victory, but I have my alternative ( ;)) targets as well...

Protected zip means nothing, you can see the size of RPL files. (from this aspect Mark is leading)

Not necessarily, compression rates might vary... Anyway, ideally we should think of a systematic procedure for inserting random files into the zip to mess up its size.

But beware of the deadline Duplode : WSC deadlines were always midnight (Argentinian time zone) the day before the last of the month. That is for June the time told by Mark. So, race tonight because on saturday it will be too late. ;D

Fine, Buenos Aires and S?o Paulo are on the same timezone... ;)

About the future of the competition, I'm all for it staying alive, but there are two observations:
1. If CTG wishes to methamorph WSC into IRC, would it be fair to Paleke? That is a particularly relevant if we someday intend to use WSC archives (unused guest tracks, etc.). Now I understand a contest conversion is probably not what CTG is thinking (rather, to have an ISA/IRC contest running till WSC is restarted without dropping '07 WSC results), but I still feel the need to raise the topic.
2. Anyway, if CTG wishes to methamorph WSC into IRC, then he should use a hybrid name, at least for this season. WS-IRC, or then WIRSC (World Indy Racing & Stunts Cup) feel nice to me  :P

Today I'm going to buy the new keyboard, beware Duplode! ;D

On the other hand, my University semester ended today... ;)

By the way, Audi's handling is so sugar-coated you often do not even realize you lost 20mph on certain corners, only to ask "where the skid I lost 2 seconds?!" by the end of the lap.

Damn, it's sad to see a competition, and more, a fellow r?cer to go away in such dark circumstances...

Anyway, for the moment let's resume Gazpacho, which I don't want to call final track  :'(...  Just re-stating: today and tomorrow are quiet days, so don't forget to lock the zip file and post the password on Saturday. By the way, do you think we need to choose someone to validate the replays?

(Of course, I'll post a lap soon - but I can't seem to find the file anywhere...)

SWR and ISM / Re: SWR changes!

One thing occured to me about the logscale coeffcients: if the participation rate is less than 12^-1,5 (1/41,6), then the coefficient goes below zero... If a couple contests happen to reopen, then we could see negative ratings  :P!

Well done Duplode, congrats.
I hope you spent a lot of time to do this result and so forgot to race USL track in order to let me win our duel. ;D

Jaja... ;D Indeed I was unable to race on Sunday, and actually I believed I wouldn't get a shot on Satudrday too. When I got the chance to race somewhere, I didn't try Havana that hard for it would require some longish research on new tricks, and soon moved back to Abandon. Anyway, obviously more time for me in USL wouldn't be worth a dime on this occasion... congratulations! (and thanks as well  ;))

 :o :o :o I'm speechless...not expecting such a spetacular loss  :D

Not that it matters anymore (Krys' flying lap put it all into perspective - waiting for the replays!), but I would find it hard to locate any time difference between both paths. Even if one gets to cut the loop at ~160mph without losing speed (any replay?) I would say the straight way would be still around 3 secs longer, and that's roughly what one could recover by being at top speed where the tracks rejoin. Is my analysis correct?
