Beer testing tonight (finally...).

CTG

Tonight: 2 beer from Belgium, 1 from Israel.

Abbaye de Saint Martin Bruin
Abbaye de Saint Martin Blond
Goldstar dark lager

Additional info: let's spice this evening with a nice bottle of red wine too! ;)

CTG

Goldstar dark lager (ISR, 4.9%, 245 HUF/0.33 l): significantly better than Maccabee. Typical beer of warm days without any dark beerish taste and power. It deserves... hmmm... 5.5 pts from 10.

CTG

Abbaye de Saint Martin Bruin (BEL, 8%, 399 HUF/0.33 l): really Belgian taste (maybe a bit too much fruit aroma), no power, even with 8% of alcohol. Not the best Belgian... but still a pretty good one. Mark: 7.5/10

Abbaye de Saint Martin Blond (BEL, 7%, 399 HUF/0.33 l): tastes like rose tea (???), powerless, but it also has the characteristic "abbaye beers" backtaste. If I said not the best for Bruin then this one was a bit disappointing. Mark: 6.5/10

CTG

WTF?!?!?!?

Zak is a hidden alcoholist. ;)

zaqrack

no, just someone who checks all the public topics :)

CTG

ONCE you have to try a beer. Not a strong one, not too much. Just to taste. And not Borsodi - a real quality Belgian dark abbaye beer.

CTG

wow i was faster than 10 minutes!!!! wnt out, bought wine, came back, taled to somebody (unidentified) and sceen saver is still no in use (<10 mins). I'm fast and drunk. :D

BonzaiJoe

Zak will only drink beer for sex  ;D
But we can't be quite sure.

CTG

Tonight alcoholic balance:

750 ccm of Ostorosi Medina wine (HUN, sweet, 11.5% alcohol)
330 ccm Abbaye de Saint-Martin Blonde beer (BEL, 7% alcohol)
330 ccm Abbaye de Saint-Martin Bruin beer (BEL, 8% alcohol)
330 ccm Goldstar dark lager beer (ISR, 4.9% alcohol)
750 ccm Balatoni Zweigelt (LOL) wine (HUN, semi-sweet, 10.5% alcohol)

It means 230 ccm alcohol. Still standing. ;D

For BJ: 10 Borsodi.

CTG

BJ: Belgian abbaye beers are world class. I don't think there's nay better beer in the whole world than that. Of course not all of them but the more expensive types. :D

BonzaiJoe

Okay now stop drinking and go do something drunk (not driving! ;))
But we can't be quite sure.

You intended to type 2300ccm - ok, I understand your situation  ;D

CTG

Bah it's the worst hangover ever, even worse than at my record...

Chulk

You know what to do to avoid hangovers? Stay drunk all the time!!!
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)
