Before you start to think that I hate jews, tonight beer: Maccabee kosher. ;D

CTG

Maccabee (ISR, 4.9% alcohol): Baaaaaaaah no-no-noooooooooooo... One of the crappiest beers I've ever tasted. Disgusting sour and additional (not beerish) bitter backtaste, no power. No more kosher beer! Mark: 1.5/10

Best before date was quite close...

CTG

Kilkenny (IRE, 5.0% alcohol): Irish beer = coffee? Bah. Mark: 4/10

Soproni Fekete D?mon (HUN, 5.2%): caramel made it worse compared to the original one... Mark: 4/10

Warsteiner is still coming during the alcoholic 'Goodbye MSN 2007' online party with Akoss. ;D

CTG

I couldn't rate Warsteiner although I drunk it - that night was simply horrible with a new personal record of drinking alcohol (but as far as I remember I gave something like 6 +/-1 pts). And the biggest vomit after it... Details: later, in another topic. ;D

CTG

My goal in this year: at least 30 new beer, with a special attention on Belgians. ;D

CTG

First test day of the year: 11th January 2008.

Brands: still unknown, 2 or 3 newbies will be tried.

StuntingHoschte

5h1t, thats helluva fast, i wont drive it again

CTG

Karamalz... hmmm is it a beer or just a soft malt drink?

StuntingHoschte

its a beer with malt. it tastes great
5h1t, thats helluva fast, i wont drive it again

Giraf (5,6%): 3/10

Too much alcohol taste, too sharp, bad aftertaste.

Carl's Special (4,6%): 8/10

A danish beer classic! Semi-dark stuff that just drinks itself and buys another one. And without feeling like you're drinking water.
But we can't be quite sure.

Akoss Poo a.k.a. Zorromeister

I forgot to tell you the beer ratings of last few months:

Corgon 12% 6.5
Zlaty Bazant tmavy 6.5
Arany ?szok semi-dark 6.5

I was in Slovakia yesterday, so new beers will be tested soon.

I bought:

2 bottles of Starobrno 10% (I've drunk it, mark remains the same - it's a beer like Soproni)
2 bottles of Kelt 10% (I only tasted the 12% version before)
a bottle of Smadny Mnich 10% (absolute newbie)
a bottle of Zlaty Bazant 12% (one of my favourite beers, I couldn't return home from Slovakia without it)
a bottle of Saris 12% (retest will occur)
a bottle of Corgon 10% (I only tasted the 12% version before)
Chürműű! :-)

Beer testing tonight (finally...).

CTG

Tonight: 2 beer from Belgium, 1 from Israel.

Abbaye de Saint Martin Bruin
Abbaye de Saint Martin Blond
Goldstar dark lager

Additional info: let's spice this evening with a nice bottle of red wine too! ;)

CTG

Goldstar dark lager (ISR, 4.9%, 245 HUF/0.33 l): significantly better than Maccabee. Typical beer of warm days without any dark beerish taste and power. It deserves... hmmm... 5.5 pts from 10.
