There wasn't a wide selection of beers in Portugal, and we rather tasted wine, so only two newbies from there:

Super Bock (POR, 5.2% V/V): 4/10
Sagres (POR, 5.0% V/V): 5.5/10

Don't believe the name of Super Bock. It's nothing but a weak, quite tasteless lager.

Btw, I'll post more evaluations soon, as I'm invited for a tasting of Christmas beers (juleøl) for tomorrow. This is the only part of the year when Norwegian breweries make something really good - in a style similar to the Czech/Slovak dark beers.

I tried Mahou, a spanish brand. It's nice, but I guess it has a bit more alcohol than most of argentinian beers.

Christmas beer tasting: completed. Unfortunately, the quality was disappointing (with a few exceptions). I was not surprised when I woke up with a terrible headache this morning, although the amount of alcohol was not huge. I started with 0.5 l beer, then had a dinner, tasted ca. 13x0.15 l beer (but didn't drink the two most disgusting ones), and finished the evening with a shot (0.05 l) of home-made pálinka.

Let's see the scores!

CB Juleøl (NOR) 3/10
Hansa Julebrygg (NOR) 6/10
Tuborg Juleøl (NOR) 4.5/10
Aass Juleøl (NOR) 2/10
Ægir Juleøl (NOR) 2.5/10
Frydenlund Juleøl (NOR) 5/10
Ringnes Juleøl (NOR) 3/10
Lervig Juleøl (NOR) 7.5/10
Rogaland Juleøl (NOR) 3.5/10
Hansa Juleøl (NOR) 4/10
Ø Julesnadder (NOR) 1/10
Delirium Christmas (BEL, 10.0% V/V) 1/10
Gauloise Christmas (BEL, 8.1% V/V) 9/10

All Norwegian beers had alcohol content of about 4.5-5.0% V/V. The opinion of other participants (colleagues and their friends, from different European countries) was quite similar to mine: this year's Christmas beers are mostly crappy...

2nd visit in München, even worse "parental" control... I should find some time for a hidden beer test.

I'll have a very special beer test in next July. That is the best before date of my newest beer, it is:

Trooper ale beer (Iron Maiden Beer, ENG, 4.7%, premium ale beer, Hand Crafted by Robinsons Brewery, don't know its price since it was a birthday present from my sister, Lupuszka)!  ;)

Don't expect too much from a UK beer.

Btw München is the 6th foreign city where I got at least a bit drunk.

I meant it as a diet control (gluten free).

Interesting list concept. The first foreign town where I got drunk for real was Florence in 2003. Then, that same year, I got boozed-up in Brussels. In 2004, I went for a drinking-fest in Barcelona and Budapest, and got ker-plunked in Kazincbarcika. In 2007 I got schmashed in Scheesel and I got bevvyed in Beijing and shitfaced in Xi'an. In 2008 I got legless in London twice and then I got blasted again in Budapest. In 2009 I got toasted in Tokyo and in 2010 I got bombed in Berlin. 2011 had me hammered in Hong Kong and mashed in Malmö.
But we can't be quite sure.

Kazincbarcika in 2004? ???

(I guess it was two years later, at WSM III)
