I actually was at Perito Moreno Glacier (50°29?S 73°03?O) so that's probably the southernmost point we forum members have been. Here's a pic to confirm

Oh yes? So I was in... in... Lanus! :P

How could we know if that's a glacier and not San Lorenzo's Stadium?

Because it's fixed on the same neighbourhood since the beginning!
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

I wonder about the coordinates of your hometown - it would be more interesting to check our relative records (degrees counted from hometown coordinates).

Actually, I was wondering where I was furthest from home. (I'm considering Szolnok as my hometown; that's where I spent the most time in my life, and the No.1 place where I feel myself at home.) Based on Google Earth, my furthest position from Szolnok was 2632 km away, on the west coast of Portugal (close to the SW tip).

Szolnok is at 47°10' N, 20°11' E, so my relative records in degrees are:

North: 21° 38' (68° 48' N, Harstad, NOR)
South: 10° 09' (37° 01' N, Faro, POR)
West: 29° 24' (9° 13' W, Cabo Espichel, POR)
East: 5° 56' (26° 07' E, Palanca, ROM)

It would be really good to improve the crappy East record. The second worst is South, but the most reachable places in this direction (Africa & Middle East) are not too interesting for me. If once I go south, I'd rather travel to S America, where I can see the southern skies as well as Stunts pipsqueaks / ghosts.
;)
Colour of living being is determined by the gene.

BonzaiJoe

If Aarhus is my hometown, that would mean something like:

North: 10 (well, it's hard to go that much further North when your starting point is so northern...)
East: 129
South: 34
West: 32

But of course, my South extreme (Macau) was dramatically further away than my West extreme (Iceland), even though they look close above.
But we can't be quite sure.

Elevation: 135m for Kazincbarcika, 2024m for Chopok, relative: 1889m).*

*On Saturday it might have broken, since there is a small mound (where the Pät' Spišských plies, Szepesi Öt-tó, Five Lakes of Szepes can be seen) behind Téryho Chata (2015m) which I climbed, and its relative elevation could be more than 9 meters.

I don't mention flight transit countries here. I visited one fake country by flight transit, but I haven't mentioned it: Greenland.

New visited country will be added next Saturday, Bulgaria. I'll spend there 8 days.

New transit country will also be added next Friday, Serbia. We'll actually going to cross the country from the Northwest to the Southeast via Nándorfehérvár (Belgrade) in our - Sofia - Plodviv - Stara Zagora - Burgas - way to Sozopol.

New countries:

Bulgaria (seven nights in Sozopol, also visiting Nessebar and Burgas, travelling through the main railway via Sofia)

Transit:

Serbia (- Horgos - Újvidék/Novi Sad - Nándorfehérvár/Belgrád - Nis/Nissza - Pirot/Sarköi - Dimitrovgrad (the Serbian one) -)

Another interesting record:

70 stotinka for a 170 g freshly baked, delicious pizza slice in Burgas + 0.2 liter of a soft drink (that was not very good)... 1 leva = 1/1.95 Euro = 100 stotinka... 3 pizza slices=a very good dinner for only a lil more than 1 Euro, that is awesome... and they have to hire the building and still have income on it... now think about Western European prices...

now think about salmonella and botulism... ;D

zaqrack

and consider Western-European wages...

then compare Hungarian wages to Bulgarian wages... and Hungarian prices to Bulgarian prices.

something's not right, right?
