The Dutch struggle is all part of the plan to sell the movie rights. Germany has been bribed to beat Denmark. Portugal is going to get ahead 1-0, but then in the break van Marwijk is going to give an incredibly motivating speech (well, he's going to do so in the movie version anyway, in the live version we can't hear him) and the Dutch will score 3 times, while the audience starts humming a rock ballad. Then the rest of the games untill either the finale or the next match against Germany are going to be played in montage style, where nothing happens except for a few brilliant moments they'll be able to edit together.

That's the plan, honest, they are absolutely not just really bad.

I really hope your movie version is real, because if you guys don't get your act together and win against Portugal, we are going to have to beat Germany, which is not very likely. You heard that? WIN against Portugal. Yes, WIN. That doesn't mean play good combination or run fast or make hard shots, it means score more goals than the other team, okay? So you have to put the ball into the goal AND make sure the others don't put balls into your goal. And you have to keep doing it the whole match. I really don't like Portugal and I don't want them to reach the quarter finals, so please, win your game. Preferably by a lot of goals. Then we will try to get a result vs Germany, and if we don't, good for you guys!

Euro 2004 reloaded?

If Ireland loses to everybody, and Spain, Italy, Croatia plays a draw against each other, each team will have 5 points. Results against Ireland won't count, so the higher scoring the draw is, the better it yields, and the two teams playing against each other are favoured. From when does it sound familiar to me?

Let's hope Spain and Croatia are not Denmark and Sweden, and won't play for a 2-2. But first, Spain and Italy have to beat Ireland.

I'm not satisfied as an Italian fan - even if I earned 3 points for the 1-1 draw.

Well, the German coach was already thinking about giving some of his base players some rest, so a stunts could be pulled there. The Dutch team beating Portugal? Let's just say you shouldn't count on it. I'll try to convince them to make it a draw.

Well, I saw that DEN-SWE game (I watched it instead of ITA-BUL)... 

Btw even the 1-1 draw is probably good for ESP and CRO, since Italy is not the master of beating teams by a lot of goals (they would need at least a 3-1)...

Tips for the matches, today:

Sweden - England 0-2

For later:

Croatia - Spain 2-2

Then Denmark would win the group and play against Russia. Between Portugal and Germany, the goal differential would decide (Portugal wins by 2 against the Netherlands -> Germany out).

But a 4-3 win for Denmark against Germany would help both teams advancing.
