I think that you have enough advantage with the EB, so you don't need unfair alliances. The track is far from my taste anyway, you will have an easy victory against me.

(Neither you, nor me deserve the silver medal. Gutix and  especially - however hard it is for me to declare - the biker were a lot better than you or me.)

Well but counting head to head I deserve maybe 7-10th place.. There were no tight victories so according with rules my 2nd-3rd place is ok and deserved. Still Duplode's, Gutix's and Biker's performances are stunning.

It's not your fault - considering the current rules and weird pointsystem, you will be the second (Gutix 3rd, me 4th). We agreed with this system and I won't argue with it. However, since 2009 I don't really follow the rules, maybe because Stunts is getting less and less important in my life - I will be able to sleep even if I finish only 4th in 2012 (5 and especially 8 years ago it wasn't that clear). So: it's rather an extended "take home message" for Zak to think over the changes for the next season and make a bit more realistic system to favor the better pipsqueak.

I cannot and I don't tell that I am the second best pipsqueak of this year. I've just adapted to rules a little better than others. So you can call me "a bug in the rules" or "the maxing out player".

I'd leave the endurance bonus, it's a new thing for this year but it's not a bad idea (it forced me to participate in all races..). I would set the EB to 1-2-3-4 and scratch out only 2 worst results.

EB seemed to be a good idea, but it's rather an irrealistic overcompensation - therefore it has to fall. I also support to bring back the "minus 2 worst results" rule. Or even more crazy: bring back the pointsystem of season 2002.

Yes, he does, because he has to do it 12 times in a row to gain +6. This seems to be quite hard to do (and it is harder than finish 7th!). And - you can try it next season (with another ghost pretending he is a newbie..) - I bet you will not be happy with that.

That was an irrealistic example. I had quite serious reasons to leave out a race in May 2012: the darkest era of losing weight, shoulder injury, job interviews, sleeping only 3-4 hours, living in a friend's flat because of the violent attack of my former neighbours, and at the middle/end of the month: my computer broke down). Would you say the same if I make the above mentioned replay in May? I could be 10th with it (more realistic: 20-30 minutes gameplay, probably beating Zak and finish 6th).

I don't think there should be any difference from this aspect between completing 11 and 12 races.

What was the original purpose?

EB: support the pipsqueaks with the most enthusiasm
taking out the worst 4 results: keep the interest of some lazy dogs (or latecomers)

What do we see now?

The lazy guys complete some really crappy races, because:

- they won't count
- even with bad performance, they are going to earn 12 points

What do you need to have 84 pts without LTB?

- 7 victories and retire
- finish 2nd once, 3rd 9 times and leave out two races
- finish 3rd 6 times, 4th 5 times and leave out a single race
- finish 4th 8 times and then complete 4 "fake" replays, driving around the finish line

Do they have the same value? No.
