Track: Dorsal, also attached below
Car: Jaguar XJR9

Original post:

Let's start then with the live race revival! We need a track, and a time.

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, this is an endurance race where you have to drive as far as possible on a looping track in 12 minutes, and submit your replay. Between setting up, chatting, driving and looking at the results, it usually takes about an hour. Have a look at the other topics in this section.

Attached is a table to help find the best moment of the day, Saturday 18 February. I'm available all day, from A to K! What about you?

J or K for me. Do you guys already have a track?

K (or L or M :))
I see ;D  Then, L or M would work for me as well!

No track yet, I seem to remember there were a couple floating around last time, but a new one would also be welcome.

Duplode

K is fine for me; anything later would also work.

Then it's decided! We meet tomorrow, Saturday 18, on the website chat at 20:00 GMT, with the idea of starting the race at 20:15.

The car for the race is the Jaguar. The track is now available, attached to the first post of the thread :D

Go ahead and have a few laps to warm up before tomorrow!

I'd prefer live races without knowing the track in advance. Live races should show how good pipsqueaks are without any additional aid such as RH - or exercise. If someone has several hours to practice the track, that is a huge advantage.

Alas, the cat is out of the bag for this race :)
I just followed the format, but I'm happy to try with a surprise track next time!

Cas

I agree with Zak and I see the track has been downloaded "zero times", so I guess we're still in time not-to practise it, ha, ha :P
So... how is it going to be?  How much time are we going to have and where do we have to post the replay once we're done?

Well, at least I have driven on the track, and I plan to race! Next time, we'll try keeping it hidden.

Replays can be posted in this thread. A have look at Duplode's post for all the details :)

Alright!  I'll give it a test.  Then, if I understood correctly, we have 12 minutes to post, so at 20:12, no more RPLs will be accepted. And the RPL shouldn't be longer than 8 minutes, but most likely, won't even approach 8 minutes. The number of laps executed within the RPL is what counts. Right?
Oh, and another doubt. Say I've already finished my fifth lap and I have some 30 seconds left, so I'm sure I won't be able to complete a sixth lap. Must I go off to pits and cross the finish line to make the RPL valid or is it OK to submit an unfinished replay and the completed laps will count anyway?

Let's see... Bliss tells me I am capable of up to 6 laps on this track in 8 minutes... most likely, 4 to 5.

Just drive as far as you can!

And at 20:00 we meet on the forum chat, the race will start after a few minutes, but we try to all be there first, to synchronise and just say hello :)

Posting dorsal2.trk..., tiny modification made to dorsal.trk, but driving is affected.
