Looks awesome Daniel3D. When can we expect your release to travel back to the future (past)? :)

Well, i made some mistakes while making the model. so it has 8 or 10 hours of work in that. With my current state of hardware and time to work on it this might still take several months to actually do it.

The rest is more or less finished.
Edison once said,
"I have not failed 10,000 times,
I've successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work."

Hi Daniel3D!

I found your DeLorean project from December 2021. It is a very nice idea, and I really like your work!

But come on, Daniel! It is time to finish that beautiful car! 😁

I built and released my own Back to the Future DeLorean in just one weekend, with some help from AI. Of course, I still have a few details to improve, especially the dashboard.

You can find my car here:

I also made a small video teaser. You can see the time machine racing towards the Hill Valley clock tower, just before lightning strikes at 10:04 PM!

About your old 3D import problem:

I read your message about the polygons turning inside out when you imported your OBJ model into Stressed.

I think there is a better way to fix this without losing your paint job.

In Blender:

Open your OBJ model. Turn on Face Orientation to find the reversed faces.

Select the mesh in Edit Mode and press Shift+N to recalculate the faces. Flip any faces that are still facing the wrong way.

Export the OBJ again. Import it into Stressed and use Compute Cull Data. Check the two-sided polygons too.

The important point is the direction of the polygon faces. This can make parts of the car disappear in Stunts.

The Stunts Wiki explains this here:

https://wiki.stunts.hu/wiki/Stressed_user_reference

I hope this helps with your project!

And what about October 26, 2027, for our next release?

Back to the Future Part II has that wonderful flying DeLorean with Mr. Fusion. Part III also has beautiful versions, including the railroad-wheel DeLorean.

There is so much more we could build for Stunts!

I would really love to see your version finished too. After all, we should not need a real time machine to finish a DeLorean! 😄

Great Scott! Let's get these cars back on the road!

Best regards,

It is reasonable to expect that genetic influences on traits like IQ should become less important as one gains experiences with age. Surprisingly, the opposite occurs.
