BJ: there are some non metal albums in my top70 (although none in the top49). Rock, punk, rap, alternative. Avril Lavigne is well at home among them - this is my favourite nonmetal music btw - I like her voice very very much. I heard once in the famous Zorro that there's another (stallin rocker) boy (older than me a bit) who thinks the same way as me about her.

I disaggree : Keeper part 2 is by far the best of Helloween in my opinion.
Keeper part 1 is just a little bit less good.
Walls of Jericho is disposable. Kai Hansen is a good guitarist, but I don't like his voice too much.

Anyway, I started to do one :

1/ Queensr?che - Operation : MindCrime (melodic heavy-metal)
2/ Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti (hard-rock of the 70's)
3/ Queen - A Kind Of Magic (pure Queen rock, most songs are from Highlander movie soundtrack)
4/ D*A*D - Helpyourselfish (the only real pure heavy-metal album from this crazy Danish country-heavy-rock band, worth the listening, I promise you)
5/ Metallica - Ride The Lightning (thrash-metal)
6/ Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine (rap-metal)
7/ Bakers Pink - Bakers Pink (melodic rock)
8/ Therapy ? - Troublegum (punk-rock)
9/ Temple Of The Dog - Temple Of The Dog (grunge-rock, members were musicians from Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, unique album made in the memory of the singer of Mother Love Bone, the very 1st grunge band. Some Pearl Jam members where playing in this band and Chris Cornell (Soundgarden and now AudioSlave) was also a friend of them)

Problem is that I still have some albums I had no time so far to listen properly, especially albums from Rammstein, Dark Tranquility, Legenda, ... So this order may change according to a proper listening to these albums.

Also, this does not reflect all that I listen, because I ordered these albums according to their overall impression.

There are numerous albums on which I like only 2 to 4 songs, therefore they are not listed here although I listen to these songs very often. Maybe I should correct this list with my own "best of" I do about these bands. Bands I think about are : The Offspring, King's X, Placebo, The Cure, Madness, Noir D?sir, ...
