I've carefully read all the rules, but nothing restricts dual-way possibility using. As for the track design, it is an unlucky one...

But as in ZCT136 (thread) the straight "drive until first junction, reverse and go back to last junction, then drive through line" solution might be a bit too cheap.

This track would be well at home in the 2002 calendar... lot of tracks like this in that year...
