I've just finished putting together a brand-new track and I wanted to share it with you all. It's a kind of tribute to the old Formula 3000 days at the Pau Grand Prix, mixed with a climb toward the Col d'Aubisque — but done the Stunts way.

The layout is tight where it needs to be, open where it counts, and just tricky enough to keep things interesting. Water crossings and long tunnels make sure the run never becomes completely free-style... but they still leave enough room for creativity if you want to take risks. It's one of those circuits where you constantly ask yourself: "Am I playing safe, or am I going for glory?"

I agree with Victor. Those proposals are common sense, but more than that the words of wisdom of a veteran player that knows all the tricks in the game better than us. He's not reached the maximum ELO of Stunts by mistake.

Hi dreadnaut, I am a little confused by the "Submit time" screen after the update. It seems that the "Corrected time" row does not display the centiseconds of the raw time correctly (it shows 1:13:00 instead of 1:13:95).

Curiously, the confirmation screen after submitting the time shows the centiseconds correctly.

Because it shows for some reason one of the SQL rounded cell time format, not the real one.

Here's what's happening — and how to fix it.

What's the bug?

On the Submit time page, the "Corrected time" line prints the raw time with a formatter that drops centiseconds, while the corrected time on the right uses a centisecond-aware formatter.
Result: you see 1:13:00 – 10% = 1:06.55 even though the raw time is 1:13.95.
The confirmation screen uses the centisecond formatter consistently, so it looks correct there.

Why it happens

Somewhere in the template/back-end that builds the string

{raw} - {bonus}% = {corrected}


the left token uses a "mm:ss" formatter (seconds precision), while the right token uses "mm:ss.cc" (centiseconds). The math is fine; it's a display mismatch.

The fix

Use one centisecond formatter for every time you display (raw and corrected), on both pages.

Also worth standardizing

Use mm:ss.cc (dot before centiseconds) everywhere for clarity.

Add a quick unit test for edge cases (e.g., 0:59.99 with 10%, 1:00.00, etc.) to ensure truncation, not rounding.

Once the submit page calls the same format_time_cs for both sides, the display will read:

1:13.95 – 10% = 1:06.55


which will match the confirmation screen.

I have a simpler solution! Download the .trk (qr coded with buildings on the terrain for each pipsqueak) from a PHP website, upload the replay on the website before a countdown ends. The times are automatically updated on a result page. What do you think of that?

Interpretation with respect to the "two groups" hypothesis.
The data do not support a strict partition of drivers into two non-overlapping groups (PG-dominant vs non-PG-dominant). Instead, the evidence is best described as:
- A stable top tier of drivers who adapt their car choices to tracks and can win in both categories; and
- A track-driven effect such that some seasons or clusters of races favor PG cars (higher PG percentage) while others favor non-PG cars.

Thank you Alain, happy to see you agree with my understanding of the situation.

A good example of a strong pipsqueak who can drive PG and non-PG is indeed @Argammon, since you mention him, who after his return has reached the podium in all races, 12 times with a powergear car, and 13 with other cars. He's as strong a driver as I've seen.

But you seem bent on some kind of vendetta here, which you cannot hide behind extra-wordy, automatically generated copy. It's shameful and childish that you have not acknowledged his apology, and that you bring the bitterness out on the forum.

I have overseen a decade of this community working together and supporting each other, and if your approach is to dissimulate and divide and attack, you are not welcome — on the forum, the shoutbox, and other community groups.

Regarding the original matter of this thread. Let me summarise the situation:

- ZakStunts is the freestyle competition, and includes shortcuts and powergear
- It does its thing, it tries not to overlap nor compete with other competitions
- The Amateur League exists for those who prefer a less technical challenge
- We will discuss rule tweaks in the regular thread that will appear in the next week
- Nothing's on fire, the world's not ending, the gods died long ago


And finally, the continuous rambling and complaining and attacking in every possible thread must stop. You can "disagree and commit", and work to really help the community (e.g., organising awesome events!), or find something else to do with your life, elsewhere.

I'm just spotting patterns and drinking detox bio tea. I know Stunts history will take account of the higher than normal irregular number of PG tracks in 2008, 2023 and 2025. Hopefully I'm not writing for your eyes only, that I hope I respecfully aknowledged with some lights, but also for the records.

Conclusion (2012–2025)

Key aggregate result.
Across 2012–2025 (all ZCT races we compiled for those seasons), winners used a PowerGear (PG) car — defined here as Acura NSX, Ferrari 288 GTO, Porsche March Indy, Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 — in 50 of 164 races, i.e. ≈ 30.5% of wins. The remainder (≈ 69.5%) were won with non-PG cars.

Year-to-year variability.
The PG share fluctuates substantially by season (PG wins / races that year):

2012: 25.0%

2013: 16.7%

2014: 33.3%

2015: 25.0%

2016: 25.0%

2017: 25.0%

Afterword from "Il Professore", my insight for the community:

First and foremost, there is nothing to compare in 2023 and 2025 with the famous titles of Ayrton in 2005 or Renato biker titles in 2006, 2010 and 2013, they didn't benefit of so many PG tracks while honing their wins on mostly skilled driving on non PG cars.

Second, this season, there should not be a single other PG track. We already got too much!

Third, if in effect the season winner takes all the last non PG tracks, so be it my friends, the wrong can't be righted this year, its far too late, the winner of 2023 (50% PG tracks) has been favored also in 25 (62.5% PG tracks), with an improbably high set of PG designed tracks that suited best his talent. In the future, with an enlightened supervision and inclusive leadership, the number of PG tracks should be monitored closely a year ahead aiming to historical average of 30% PG tracks, to prevent another PG track discrepancy season.

I prefer to assume good intentions, but a different frame of mind. On the other hand, I do need an answer to this, @Alain, because for me it's a fundamental point:

You could argue for "a distortion" only if there were two different sets of drivers: those who win/podium all the PG races, and those who win/podium only the "rare" non-PG races.

Look at the past five years: can you find significant evidence of these two groups?

Hello everyone,

TL;DR: I'm drafting here an idea I'm maturing as a one man band, but aimed towards a community project: The Stunts live race world cup.

1. Goals

Ensure fair competition regardless of available training time.

Highlight the "live" spirit of Stunts: precision, quick strategy, pressure management.

Create a global format bringing together players from multiple time zones.

2. Competition Structure
Phase 1: Conference Qualifiers

Conferences:

🌎 The Americas

🌍 The Old Continent (Europe, Africa)

🌏 Oceania / Asia-Pacific

Each conference hosts one live race on the same track, but scheduled for local convenience.

Top 3 from each conference advance to the Grand Final.

Phase 2: Grand Universal Final

The 9 qualified drivers face off live on a brand-new track.

Results → determine the Top 3 of the Universe.

3. Race Formats possibilities

a) Live Classic Race

Track remains undisclosed until the start.

Duration: 12 minutes (max 15 for exceptional tracks).

Goal: as many laps as possible → best lap time counts.

b) Live Rally / Endurance

Track is revealed 7 days in advance.

Single lap, lasting 6–9 minutes.

Live duration: up to 15 minutes (1–2 attempts).

4. Practical Organization

Sign-up: each player registers in one conference (based on time zone or availability).

Track distribution: each pipsqueak receives a unique QR code (drawn with map buildings) to prevent file sharing.

Timer:

A countdown starts automatically upon download.

Replay (RPL) must be submitted before the countdown expires (12 or 15 minutes).

Referees: each conference must have at least 2 referees (one main + one backup).

5. Scoring

Ranking is based on best lap time.

In case of a tie → 2nd-best lap decides.

Suggested scoring per conference:

1st = 10 pts

2nd = 6 pts

3rd = 4 pts

4th+ = listed in the results but no points.

The Final is decided only by performance (no point carry-over).

6. Fair Play & Ethics

🚫 No secret training or early access to the track file.

Replay Handling (RH) allowed / GAR non directive trust based rule.

✅ Drivers may share emotions and impressions live (chat, stream), but no exact lines or tricks during the race.

7. Communication & Broadcasting

Each conference may organize its live session on YouTube or Twitch.

All RPL files will be archived and published on the official page.

A highlight video of the three conferences and the final will be produced.

I'll share a link to measure the volunteering level. Every answer could help taste the water on the topic.

You are mostly right. Time is key. There is probably no talent in genius. I'm curious about how much time is needed for a genius (talking about 2000+ Folyami Stunts driver) to drive a winning lap.
