Separate topic? We have the annual Football Fanats thing... :)

Brasil will suffer a lot this time.

After watching some Copa America matches this summer, measuring up the strength of the teams with it, and taking some other results into account, I think the qualifiers will be:

1 Argentina
2 Brazil
3 Uruguay
4 Paraguay

I'm not quite sure for Paraguay, Venezuela and Chile also has some chance.
In my opinion:

5 Chile

Not qualifying:

6 Venezuela
7 Colombia
8 Peru
9 Ecuador
10 Bolivia

No way. My bet is...

1 Argentina
2 Brasil (Never plays qualifiers seriously)
3 Paraguay (Always hard to beat)
4 Chile (Lots of young players, Bielsa is great at developing new talents. See Mascherano if you don't believe me)
5 Uruguay (As usual, depending on a good result against Argentina in the 18th round.)
6 Ecuador (Not many young players to cope with generation change)
7 Colombia (Far from its best times)
8 Peru (Not as strong as in Copa Am?rica)
9 Venezuela (Lucky win against Ecuador, is still weaker than everybody else but Bolivia)
10 Bolivia (Same problems as always)

LOL there's not too much difference! :) The same top5, only 2 team's position differ by more than 2 places. :)

I know. My 'No way' was about Venezuela having a chance to qualify. The rest is quite the same.

I didn't wanted this topic to get lost among all Hungarian Football. And I was hoping it would be a very replied topic, that's why I made it separated.

On Akoss predictions, the main point I can't see happening is Uruguay having a smooth cruise to the Cup as 3rd (well, at least they won't be facing Australia this time  ;D). As for us, 2nd is probable at least for we're conceding few goals lately but man... Sunday's game was sickening to watch, and it was no exception either.

Anyway, what's the interest of the weak of Hungarian football championship ? Let's talk about Spanish or English championships which are way more interesting. :P

South America qualifications ? Well, I don't care : Brazil and Argentina will be qualified logically (and it's important for the interest of the world cup) and the other teams qualified will be sparring partners for European qualified countries during the world cup, whoever they are.

Chulk

Don't be so sure. Paraguay is a very good defensive team and they gave European teams a hard time lately. The rest of them is not that strong but still they can give a surprise to some over-confident Euro teams.
And remember Greece was Euro champion and they're not a dream team...

I don't like too defensive teams like Creece, Paraguay, Scotland, ... This is interest-less football played by teams unable to have decent forward players.

T?ff: but you are the only French here, no spanish, no british pipsqueaks. Anyway YOU (ALMOST) NEVER TALK ABOUT THE MENTIONED CHAMPIONSHIPS. Why? Easy to say, hard to do? :P

I partialy agree with you. It is boring but it works. Besides, Italy has some great forwards and still they play cattenaccio, because that's what they're used to do and it's what they're good at (Except for Milan, of course)
