Great webpage for statistic-fan air passengers: http://flightdiary.net/

Data of my flights: http://flightdiary.net/Usrin

It's a pity that I barely remember which airplane types did I fly with... I was always more interested in trains. When flying, rather the landscape and the weather take my attention (so having a seat at the window is the most important).

Thanks Usrin, great website! I will try to put together my diary - altough luckily less flights lately...

Damn, yesterday I missed the lowest flying B747-8F of my amateur airplane fan era - only by a few seconds (I heard it, but couldn't see). Usually they fly 800-1200 m high over our flat, now it was only at 600-650, according to flightradar24.com.

The same for today. :-\ >:( (my new avatar is about the shorter 747-400 of Cargolux, flying at about 900 m - it has an incredible sound)

Just checked and realized that you "emitted" 0.29 kg methane with your flying activity. And probably other 20 kg with farting. ;D

Sorry, I ate Brussels sprouts yesterday. It's a pity that www.fartdiary.net doesn't exist. :)

Yes, it would be cool to see and compare. ;D

What about these weirdos? (I think Beluga is really ugly, while Dreamlifter looks almost like an A380)

Usrin

I agree. But Beluga is for carrying oversize load, so the designers had very limited possibilities.

What about such an airplane: http://www.innovationnewsdaily.com/1568-supersonic-flying-wing-nasa.html ? Not a giant, but would be faster than these whales.

Dreamlifter was made for the same purpose, but it's still close to "nice". Beluga is Quasimodo. ;D

Even Concorde was useless, why to force hypersonic flying? (okay, it's cool in Transport Tycoon, unless you install the vacuum train patch :D)

Although I still owe the results of the estimation game to you, I have to tell that Boeing 747-8 is the second longest airplane on Earth (behind AN-225 Mriya), while the huge whale A380 is not even a podiumer.

From the aspect of airplanes, yesterday was far the richest day of my life - 4 different types of 2x2 engine aircrafts: the small Avro RJ100 (Swissair) and the big birds: Boeing 747-400 (Cargolux), Antonov 124 (Volga-Dnepr Airlines) and my first Ilyushin IL-96 (Aeroflot) ever, see below. Moreover, an A310 cargo plane of Turkish Airlines also arrived as a surprise.

We landed on Friday from Istanbul 90 minutes before the airport was closed :)

Btw, I recall what I said on the Boeing-777. It can be a great plane, if well equipped and furnished
