In order to fix a glitch (as mentioned by Argammon's post) that affects game's replay control presentation, I'd to change a little bit the position of the side mirrors part on car's dashboard in order to lift the non opaque part it.

So I've modified STDAZMP4.VSH file and released a new version 1.1 of McLaren Honda MP4/4 car. (It should be OK to use in competition since no changes were made in RES file)

I've fixed the referred glitch.
Please check the attached file You cannot view this attachment. by replacing the existing one. (it doesn't invalidate using the car in competition)

Are you referring those glitches to funcionning of rev counter in McLaren MP4/4 dashboard?

If yes, unfortunately it's a consequence of the position of de rev counter on the outside of the steering wheel...

After some past experience on giving some hints and work in colaboration some of these steps with KyLie and Ryoma, and the invitation from Overdrijf, I'm here to participate in the following steps:

4 - Base performance
5 - Engine and gearbox
6 - Base dashboard image

For the video part I have no experience, but if necessary I hope to find someone in this community car project to make the video. I will provide screenshots and notes as a guide.

From my tests, it reaches 218 mph (stable and almost at rev limiter) after any considerable jump.
So, 218 mph real top speed, 212 mph flat track top speed (without any preceding jump).

If you agree, I'll edit and correct this on wiki's article.

Hello, sorry you all for my late pronounce on this subject.

I am glad for all your encouraging attempts in order to make me consider to be part of a ZakStunts competition team, but for now I wish to stick as a solo competitor, I like to learn by my self the tricks and skills to become better driver in Stunts without compromise (I already know that it's a hard challenge).

Also, like Daniel3D stated, I have some other Stunt's non-competition plans. My time in next season should be spend more on custom car projects that I previously wanted to accomplish ;)

Hi alanrotoi,

The in-game car specs normally sticks the original (real) car or car's top speed no horizontal flat road.
I think that top speed at top gear and rev limit speed is just a indicator for specific running condition in Stunts.
If it's general consensus question "Real top speed" information could be changed in wiki car article to something like "Max speed on rev limit in top gear".

(meanwhile Caterham's wiki page and List of custom cars page is being updated)

I'm seeing that you all have harvesting some useful information! :D But let me bring some information that I noted when changing "engine" sound on ADENG1.VCE bytes:

Hi,

After stating that grass surface sound is missing on AdLib/Sound Blaster setup (Tandy also doesn't) by comparison with PC Speaker and MT-32 VCE files, I found a way to use a skid sound when driving non-tarmac (grass/mud/ice) surfaces.

Initially I tried to add a resource at the end of the file ADENG1.VCE and also increasing byte nr. 5 from 8 to 9 (matching number of sound resources), but it seems dificult to get it recognized (all sounds get muted):



So my second attempt was to replace the "STOP" sound resource (as far as I know it's not heard in game), with the a new resource "SKI2" that is related for non-tarmac skid sound as you can check:

I've tunned a little to be a lower tonned like It happens on Pc Speaker or MT-32.

The resulting file ADENG1SK.VCE is on attach, just replace the original ADENG1.VCE to try it.

Hi @Daniel3D, unfortunately I replace locally the bug version with a corrected one...
I also tried to reproduce the bug, without success.

The file attached, when I post the initial mod version, had the following url:
