First positive doping: María Isabel Moreno (Cycling, Spain). I wonder how many more cases are in Swimming and Cycling mainly, that are not told because they would mean a decrease in people's interest in the games...
Yes, it is me. No, I'm not back at racing (for now...)

Swimming? The whole USA team. Maybe Australia too.

Oh my God, this one will be the crappiest Olympic Games for Hungary EVER.

At least we kicked ass in male water polo:

Hungary - Greece 17-6 (7-2, 2-2, 4-1, 4-1)

What a shame, Montenegro could won by bigger difference versus Canada (12-0!).

CTG talked about the water polo team's demolishing victory.

Let's see how the day was going for Hungarians.

In swimming, our rising star Emese Kovács showed a miserable performance, finishing only 27th. She was our secret favourite, allegedly she talked about swimming a new world record before the games, many people considered her as a medal hope. The commentators on Eurosport said that she put on some weight (5 kgs) in the olympic village, which can be the reason. We know that mentally she is weak (always anxious before big events), but that can't be the reason for swimming several seconds slower time than her not-too-old personal best. Emese, only 17, is in my opinion quite an attractive girl: http://www.origo.hu/i/0803/20080315kovacseme.jpg http://www.obudaisport.hu/kepek/1184870727.jpg , but it's also visible that she is b*tchy. Dániel Gyurta compensated this with a fabulous swim this afternoon. He went to the semi final with the best time on 200 breaststroke, setting a new Olympic record with this. In my eyes, he is advanced to a medal hope, and if he beats Kitajima in the final and wins the gold, I will suck CTG's dick (I promised to him  ;D ;D ;D). Unlucky day for other swimmers: Mutina and E. Verrasztó just missed the finals of their main events, finishing 11th and 9th, respectively.

Tennis: Szávay/Arn doubles' match is postponed to tomorrow.

Rowing: Varga and Hirling, former World Champions missed the semi finals, which wasn't a real surprise, knowing some bad news about them, but still, it is a very weak performance for them.

Fencing: another very disappointing day for our fencers, only one man reached top8, though we were waiting for our second medal from one of them...

Other sports: a 9th place in shooting...

Well... another poor day for us. Let's hope tomorrow it will be different. Chances: László Bodrogi (WCH silver medalist, cycling, men's elite individual time trial), fencing (this the the women), László Cseh (swimming, 200 butterfly). There will be Gyurta's semi final and the female water polo&handball teams playing too. Both matches seem to be very hard, versus Australia and Germany, respectively.

Other non-Hungarian events: Serbia sucked dick against Croatia (water polo)! That's a surprise! That means if we finish 2nd in our group, it's not a big problem, because we avoid playing Serbia in the semi finals with this. I saw Spain's hardly-earned victory against China in basketball. LOL! Asia seem to be very strong, doped and supported (by crowd, and referees) this time, in other sports, too. German handball team sucked against Iceland! And Denmark versus South Korea, too! Ouch! Did anybody watch the match? I watch these Asian surprise results very 'carefully'... Btw I still miss the Hungarian team there...

I feel like watching the time trials, but it's at 7:30 AM.... It seems unlikely. I'm guessing Schumacher will win again. He seems to have taken more EPO than the others.
But we can't be quite sure.

I would also bet on Schumacher, Germany always has a great time trialist for the biggest events. Let's see if Cancellara wanted to reach top form only for the Olympics (taking maximum EPO dose only for it), and not for the TDF. Therefore he can win I think, I consider him to be the best time trialst on the world. The track seem to be a bit hilly for Bodrogi, top10 is also good for him.

Denmark has two time trialists racing tomorrow, and one of them hates time trials :) We were awarded the extra spot after the beginning of the olympics, and he said "hey, nice chance to practice" :) So there's a candidate for last place: Chris Anker Sørensen. The other guy, Brian Vandborg, is supposed to be good and was 4th in the World Championships in 2006, but he has been really crappy so far this season.
But we can't be quite sure.

Only TOP 16...

Today we had a good start: another silver medal from László Cseh (200 m butterfly), finishing just behind a surprisingly tired Phelps. Daniel Gyurta is finalist in 200 m breaststroke, slight chances for a medal tomorrow.

Wrestling: cheated loss for Tamás Lörincz, lost semi-final for Péter Bácsi.

Weightlifting: very ugly injury of the only Hungarian competitor, check it here: http://www.telesport.hu/igy-serult-meg-baranyai-csak-eros-idegzetueknek

Relatively good day so far. Uncommented/unmentioned Hungarian results:

Very exciting and tight game against Australia for the Hungarian women (waterpolo). I think Ágnes Primász was acting a foul against her in the last Hungarian attack, which resulted in a Hungarian extra (wo)men situation, and an equalizing goal.

Hungary-Australia 7-7 (1-1, 1-1, 1-2, 4-3)

Fencing: two women are in the last 16, let's hope one of them can win a medal. Ildikó Mincza (who is fencing without a bra I guess :)) almost lost against a fencer from Hong Kong, but in the end, won 15-11.

Three combat sporters will be fighting for 3rd-7th places, slight chances for a medal.

László Bodrogi made his start on the time trial track 13 minutes ago.

I cheered for Hoogenband. Let me guess: Bernard improved because of the new superdress (filled with his gene modified muscles)...
